Allocation of Vacation. It is expressly understood that the final allocation of vacation is reserved exclusively by the Company in order to preserve the orderly operation of the plant. The vacation to which each employee is entitled must be taken between his anniversary dates.

Allocation of Vacation. Within a team-based environment, teams shall manage their vacation in order to ensure the committed schedule is adhered to and delivery dates are always met. The teams will ensure this obligation is met in all decisions to be made relating to vacation. a) The manager in collaboration with the team will determine the vacation quota for the year. The team will manage the vacation allocation as well as how the employees will be allocated their vacation. All members of the team shall agree on the proposed schedule. The manager will approve the solution proposed by the team before March 21st. In case of disagreement, the manager and the Union Xxxxxxx will meet with the team and help them resolve the problems.

However, in the event of production constraints within a section of a department, plant seniority within the section or department will prevail; 2) employees with vacation entitlement greater than three (3) weeks may be required to arrange their additional vacation to suit production requirements or to permit others to enjoy the period between June 1 51 and September 1 5t ; 3) for the period of a shutdown or partial shut-down, the majority of employees within the designated departments will be required to include this period in their vacation entitlement; 4) Plant maintenance department employees and a limited number of employees in other departments will normally be needed to work during a plant shutdown, partial plant shutdown or reduced activity period and will paid at their normal rates of pay: 5) Any employee wishing to change his vacation dates after March 1 0th, shall have no priority relating to his seniority. Any employee wishing to change his vacation dates after March 1 0th must submit his request to his Manager at least one (1) week in advance. In this case, the Company will post the available vacation for a seven (7) days period in the case of one (1) week or more or a minimum of two (2) days in the case of single days in order to offer the period to employees who had made this selection during vacation selection period and thereafter according to their seniority. Allocation of Vacation. Vacations for employees shall be taken at such time as mutually agreed upon by the Committee and the Company when quantity and regularity of production will not be impaired. The third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh weeks of vacation may be taken when convenient for the Company and the employee, but does not have to be consecutive with the vacation period provided for in Section 2.

  • Restoration of Vacation Leave In the event an employee is injured or becomes ill while on vacation leave, the employee may submit a written request to use sick leave and have the equivalent amount of vacation leave restored. The supervisor may require a written medical certificate.

  • Scheduling of Vacation Leave In scheduling vacation leave with pay for an employee the Employer shall, subject to the operational requirements of the service, make every reasonable effort to comply with the employee's wishes.

  • Benefits; Vacation Employee shall be eligible to receive all benefits as are available to similarly situated employees of Employer generally, and any other benefits that Employer may, in its sole discretion, elect to grant to Employee from time to time.   • Recall from Vacation Leave When during any period of vacation leave an employee is recalled to duty, he shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that he incurs:

  • Interruption of Vacation An employee shall be permitted to interrupt or terminate vacation leave in order to begin another type of paid leave provided the employee supplies notice and supporting information regarding the basis for such interruption or termination to the District.

  • Use of Vacation 23.2.2.1 Academic staff members may use vacation at times approved by the Xxxx which shall not interfere with the operation of the College. Except under unusual circumstances, members shall not be permitted to use vacation during a period of time when they are engaged in the instructional process, including the supervision and grading of exams. With confirmation of the Xxxx, where all vacation credits were not used in advance of termination, the balance will be paid to the academic staff member. The maximum amount of payout shall be limited to the current year’s entitlement.

  • Benefits and Vacation The Executive shall be eligible to participate in such insurance programs (health, disability or life) or such other health, dental, retirement or similar employee benefits programs as the Board may approve, on a basis comparable to that available to other officers and executive employees of the Company. The Executive shall be entitled to a minimum of three (3) weeks of paid vacation per year. Vacation time may be accumulated for up to one year beyond the year for which it is accrued and may be used any time during such year. Any vacation time not used during such additional year shall be forfeited. The value of any accrued but unused and unforfeited vacation time shall be paid in cash to the Executive upon termination of Executive's employment for any reason.
