Asbestos Removal. To the extent this Project involves asbestos removal, the Contractor shall comply with RCW 49.26 and any provisions of the Washington Administrative Code promulgated thereunder.
Asbestos Removal. The Contractor shall comply with the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and applicable state and local government regulations concerning the removal of asbestos.
Asbestos Removal. Under no circumstances shall any employee handle or be asked to handle asbestos containing material. Such work shall be completed by properly certified hazardous materials contractors.
Asbestos Removal.
19.1 Employers and employees engaged in asbestos removal will adhere strictly to the requirements of all relevant legislation and Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
Asbestos Removal. Employees who are required to change into personal protective equipment to perform work under the current asbestos program shall receive a salary differential equal to 50% of their current salary for all time spent performing such duties. Payment of this differential shall be on an hour-by-hour basis and shall include time the employees spent changing into and removing program specified personal protective equipment.
Asbestos Removal. 41.01 No quantity of asbestos-containing pipe insulation or other asbestos-containing materials except floor tile removed by district employees following the Resilient Floor Covering Institute guidelines shall be removed or disturbed in District buildings and facilities unless the work is supervised by an individual certified as an asbestos abatement specialist in the State of Ohio and the work is performed by trained and qualified persons. The school district will provide OSHA Asbestos Class II RFCI Worker training for those employees that will remove floor tile.
41.02 All asbestos abatement work except floor tile removed by district employees following Resilient Floor Covering Institute guidelines shall be performed by contractors licensed to perform asbestos abatement work in the State of Ohio in accordance with "job specific asbestos abatement specifications" or the "Work Procedures for the Incidental Repair and Removal of Asbestos- Containing Materials."
41.03 In addition to these work procedures, all federal, state and local regulations must be complied with. Any work must be performed according to the strictest procedures that apply. Guidance for conditions not covered in the Work Procedures or regulations will be obtained from USEPA Publication No. 560/5-85-024, "Guidance for Controlling Asbestos-Containing Materials in Buildings." In addition, considerations such as building occupancy, work location, nature of the asbestos-containing materials or other factors may require alternate, more strict procedures. Please PRINT

Asbestos Removal. If, in the process of performing the Work, the Contractor suspects that asbestos has been found, the Owner shall be notified immediately. The Owner shall cause the suspicious material to be tested and, if found to be asbestos, will be responsible for its removal. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to protect its workers and other persons by regulating access to the affected area.
Asbestos Removal. The University shall be responsible for tracking and coordinating the identification, removal and disposal of all Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM). The Contractor is responsible for performing basic visual assessments of all projects and maintenance work sites for suspected hazardous materials (materials not labeled) prior to commencing work. Where such materials are located, the Contractor shall stop work and communicate the need for material identification to the Facilities Management Shop Manager. The associate Director will then contact the Asbestos and Lead Project Manager who facilitates testing and identification of the material, completes Abatement Notifications, where applicable, and reports results of tests and /or abatement schedules to the Facilities Management Shop Manager, who will then direct the Contractor.
Asbestos Removal. Any employee who is licensed to perform asbestos removal shall be paid the greater of one and one half (1 1/2) times his/her regular hourly rate of pay, or thirty-two dollars ($32.00) per hour, while performing such work. Such work shall be considered occasional and sporadic in nature. Any employee who is required to complete asbestos paperwork for certification with the State of Illinois shall be paid a yearly stipend of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00). This provision shall not be construed so as to require the District to assign such work to a member of the bargaining unit.
Asbestos Removal. 1. If and as applicable to the Project, comply with all requirements of Law regarding the removal and disposition of asbestos from the Project Site, including all responsibility for asbestos components of the Project, such as:
a. Examine each property and perform any required testing to confirm the presence, or absence of, asbestos containing materials (ACM).
b. File with the appropriate jurisdiction the required paperwork to identify the presence or absence of ACM.
c. Remove all ACM materials found in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
d. Perform all testing and air monitoring required to support the successful removal of any identified ACM and file all paperwork (for example, air clearance reports, etc.) to satisfy regulatory requirements and to obtain final regulatory approvals.
