Assistance Plan. If a formal written assistance plan is deemed necessary, the assistance plan shall be initiated no sooner than thirty (30) continuous workdays from receipt of written notification of the need to improve. The duration of time the employee will be under consideration for an assistance plan shall not exceed one (1) year. The actual duration of the assistance plan will be determined by the circumstances involved.
Assistance Plan. The District may offer, or a permanent employee may request, placement on an assistance plan (Appendix A, Form I-C) at any time during the school year, or for the following school year, if the District intends to continue to employ the unit member. Not withstanding Section 9.2.6, the District may place a probationary unit member on an assistance plan at any time.
Assistance Plan. At any time during the evaluation process, if the evaluator believes that the evaluatee is not making satisfactory progress, the evaluator shall meet with the unit member to develop an assistance plan. The plan must include:
A. Identification of the specific area(s) for improvement.
B. Specific recommendations as to how and what the unit member needs to do to improve.
C. The specific resources the evaluator will provide the unit member, including, but not limited to, services available from Beginning Teacher Support and Assistance (BTSA) or Peer Assistance Review (PAR).
D. A specific time for improvement. The evaluator shall assess the progress of the evaluatee in meeting recommendations set forth in the Assistance Plan. The assessment of progress shall become part of the evaluation record.
Assistance Plan. An Assistance Plan shall not be used for disciplinary purposes. Discipline: refer to Article 21.
Assistance Plan. 12.3.6.1 An assistance plan may be written by the supervisor to identify areas of concern or specific components needing improvement. A plan for assistance will be developed that includes strategies for teacher, timelines and sources of support. The assistance plan may be for part of a year or a full year and can be in addition to or in place of current goals.

Assistance Plan. In conjunction with Section 16.6.1 of this Agreement, the JP shall be responsible for final development and approval of the Assistance Plan for RTs and VTs.
Assistance Plan. A. At any time during the evaluation process, if the evaluator has evidence that the unit member is not making satisfactory progress, the evaluator and the unit member shall meet to collaboratively develop an assistance plan. This plan must include:
1. Identification of the specific area(s) for improvement
2. Specific recommendations as to how and what the unit member needs to do to improve.
3. The specific resources the evaluator will provide the unit member, including, but not limited to, Peer Observation, Peer Mentoring, Site or Department PLC Support, District Training services available from Teacher Induction Program (TIP), Peer Assistance Review (PAR), and colleagues.
4. A specific time for improvement.
B. The assistance plan process shall be collaborative between the evaluator and unit member. Any written documents brought by either party to the meeting are in draft form until finalized.
C. If the unit member transfers away from the site where they were placed on an assistance plan, the evaluator at the new site shall be responsible for initiating a new assistance plan if he/she deems it necessary.
D. The evaluator shall assess the unit member’s progress in meeting recommendations set forth in the Assistance Plan. The assessment of progress shall become part of the evaluation record.
Assistance Plan. Where an employee is engaged in a programme of self- development he will be reimbursed for the cost of tuition for educational taken on his own time and covering subjects or studies which are related specifically to his work with the All full time employees are eligible €or consideration under this plan, applications for which may be obtained from the Human Resources Department. Approved courses are those which are and will have direct application to the employee’s effectiveness in the job he or she presently holds. In certain cases, courses which will add to the employee’s qualifications on an overall basis, or which may have a relationship to future potential assignments, may be approved. The tuition fee and cost for text books will be refunded to an employee who furnishes proof of successful completion of a course for which he or she has been approved. Text books will then become the property of the and be made available to other employees through the library. To be eligible for aid the employee must first submit an application to the supervisor for approval and when this has been obtained, the application will be sent to Human Resources for management approval. Such approval must be secured prior to starting the course to ensure that assistance will be forthcoming and the employee will be advised immediately approval has been granted. Any employee who undertakes a course without prior approval will be responsible for his own tuition costs if such approval is not subsequently given. Special provisions will apply in case of courses where remuneration is paid to the employees by outside agencies.
Assistance Plan. Once selected, the Assistance Team, evaluator and the evaluatee shall meet to develop the assistance plan. The Assistance Team shall develop a timeline which establishes dates for observations occurring during the assistance plan. Follow-up support activities shall be provided as outlined in the plan. If an evaluator cannot complete the observation timeline as outlined by the Assistance Team, the team can reconvene and redevelop a new timeline for observations. Substitutes/release time required in the assistance plan is subject to the approval of the evaluator.
