Band 3 Sample Clauses
The 'Band 3' clause defines a specific category or tier within a structured system, such as pricing, service levels, or employee grading. In practice, this clause sets out the criteria, benefits, or obligations associated with being classified as Band 3, which might include particular salary ranges, access to certain resources, or eligibility for specific services. Its core function is to clearly delineate the rights and responsibilities of parties or individuals assigned to this band, ensuring transparency and consistency in how different levels are managed or compensated.
Band 3. A Teacher will progress to Band 3 from the first full pay period on or after 1 February in the year immediately after the Teacher has:

(ii) been assessed by ISTAA as meeting the ISTAA Experienced Teacher standards.
Band 3. For entry to Band 3, employees are required to have skills and knowledge acquired through completion of a degree or diploma course with little or no relevant work experience; or through lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills; or through relevant experience and work skills commensurate with the requirements of work at this level. A significant change to the duties of a position in Band 2 may warrant reclassification to Band 3. A position in Band 3 has the following job characteristics: • Employees in Band 3 require a high level of skills, relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial experience, and usually include supervision/management of a functional group. • They require skills in managing time, setting priorities and planning and organising their own work and that of supervised employees so as to achieve specific and set objectives in the most efficient way possible within the resources available and within a set timetable. • They are accountable for the quality, effectiveness, cost and timeliness of the programs, projects or work plans under their control and for the safety and security of the assets being managed. • They require the ability to gain co-operation and assistance from clients, members of the public and other employees in the administration of defined activities and in the supervision of other employees or groups of employees. • Employees require a thorough understanding of the relevant technology, procedures and processes used within their team. • They require an understanding of the role and function of the senior employees to which they provide support, an understanding of the goals of the team in which they work, and an appreciation of the long-term goals of the wider organisation. • They are expected to write reports in their field of expertise and to prepare external correspondence of a routine nature. • They are expected to provide direction, leadership and structured training or on-the-job training to supervised employees or groups of employees.
