Bank Membership. Any teacher is eligible to become a member of the Sick Leave Bank. A teacher may elect to join the Sick Leave Bank by informing the FEA in writing within thirty (30) calendar days of initial employment for newly hired teachers, or during the first thirty (30) days of the school year for current bargaining unit members who are not continuing members of the Sick Leave Bank. Membership in the Sick Leave Bank shall continue from year to year after initial enrollment unless a teacher notifies the District and the FEA in writing no later than May 31, regarding his/her intent to withdraw from the Sick Leave Bank for the following school year. An employee electing not to join the Sick Leave Bank shall not be eligible for Sick Leave Bank donations until he/she becomes a member during the next annual Sick Leave Bank enrollment. The Bank shall be administered through the same administrative channels and regulations as for sick leave except as noted in this article.

An employee may elect to join the Sick Leave Bank by informing the District or the ESSA in writing during the first thirty (30) days of initial employment for newly hired employees, during the first thirty (30) work days after return to work for employees returning from a long term leave of absence, or during the month of May for current employees who are nonmembers. Membership in the Bank shall continue from year to year after initial enrollment unless an employee notifies the District in writing no later than May 31 regarding his/her intent to withdraw from the Sick Leave Bank for the following fiscal year. An employee electing not to join the Sick Leave Bank shall not be eligible for Sick Leave Bank grants until the next annual enrollment, when the employee will again have the opportunity to become a member of the Sick Leave Bank.   • Membership The Committee shall include nine (9) members - five (5) representatives from CUPE/SCFP and four (4) representatives from the CTA. Up to two (2) advisors from the Ministry of Education shall act in a resource capacity to the committee. Other persons may attend meetings in order to provide support and resources as mutually agreed.   • RECOGNITION AND MEMBERSHIP Section 1. The Hospital recognizes the Association as the collective bargaining representative with respect to wage rates, hours of work, and other conditions of employment for a bargaining unit composed of all categories of registered nurses including Patient Care Coordinators and Charge Nurses employed by the Hospital. The Hospital shall not challenge the status of bargaining unit nurses or assert that bargaining unit nurses are supervisors.

  • Professional Memberships Each employee is eligible for reimbursement for membership fees or dues paid for the maintenance of a license required to perform employee’s job and for dues paid for membership in one additional job related professional association.
