Beginning of School Year. (1) A seniority list shall be posted on the Transportation bulletin board at least 5 days prior to the initial driver safety meeting.
(2) At the same time, a list of all routes and shuttle runs shall be posted. Such posting shall describe the route or shuttle run in detail as to length of run, hours involved and other working condition information.
(3) On the safety meeting day, initial minor adjustments in routes and shuttle runs will be resolved in informal discussions with the drivers and the Transportation Supervisor. If there is a disagreement, which is not resolved, the Transportation Supervisor will make the final determination. On that day, once these adjustments have been made, the routes and runs shall be posted. Each driver shall sign for his/her selection in seniority order. No more than five (5) minutes shall be allowed for each driver to make his/her selection.
Beginning of School Year. The District has a grace period of twenty (20) student days at the beginning of the year to correct over-enrolled classes. Starting on day 21, teachers will be compensated $10.00 for each additional student contact per day, retroactive to the first day of over enrollment, and for as long as they remain overenrolled.
Beginning of School Year. 1. All routes not assigned to bus aides at the beginning of the school year will be designated as open routes and will be temporarily filled by full-time and substitute bus aides. Open bus aides’ routes will be bid according to the following procedure:
2. All open routes will be reviewed and posted in the transportation employees’ lounges concurrent with the bus driver bid but at least 1 week prior to the bid.
3. A copy of the postings shall be issued to the President of the Association.
4. Route bidding for bus aides shall take place at least one day following the bus driver bid.
5. Successful bidders will take over the accepted bid route no later than the Monday following the bid.
6. Any routes vacated by bus aides bidding as described above will be posted as open routes during the first week of the next month to be assigned to the most senior bidders the following week. Successful bidders will take over the accepted bid route no later than the Monday following the bid.
7. When a bus aide takes a route under the bidding process, he/she must keep the route for the remainder of the school year, unless administratively reassigned. Such reassignment shall not be for arbitrary and capricious reasons. Every reasonable effort will be made to maintain bus assignments from year to year to designated parking compounds consistent with the assignment as posted and bid upon by the bus aide through the bidding process.

Generally, a “teacher of record” is defined as an individual (or individuals, such as in co-‐teaching assignments) who has been assigned responsibility for a student’s learning in a subject/course with aligned performance measures. The law requires that all classroom teachers be evaluated under the new law. • The regulations define classroom teacher as a teacher in the classroom teaching service as defined in §80-‐1.1 of the Commissioner’s regulations. • Local verification of the student roster shall occur no later than the last day of the third week of the school year. • For accountability purposes, the roster shall close on “BEDS” day. • Verification of subjects and/or student rosters shall take place no later than the last day of the third week of each marking period. • Verification of subjects and/or student rosters shall take place throughout the year for new student entrants. • In addition, teachers will also be notified, of all subsequent changes made by the State Education Department, as soon as practicable. • Teachers shall receive confirmation from the building administration of any corrections or changes. • District shall notify teachers of all student verification procedures and timelines. • The verification of the roster will be completed pre and post administration of the state assessment.
