Bilingual Assignment Pay. Employees who are assigned by the Chief of the Department to a designated bilingual assignment shall be paid an additional compensation of $36.00 biweekly. A designated bilingual assignment is one designated by the Department which requires translating to and from a foreign language including sign language as used by the hearing impaired.

Bilingual Assignment Pay. An employee assigned as a Bilingual Interpreter shall, for the period of time while assigned to perform such duties, receive an additional three percent (3%), based on the employee’s hourly regular rate of pay, for the actual hours worked on the shift as a Bilingual Interpreter, rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes; provided, to be assigned as a Bilingual Interpreter, an employee must be certified in accordance with certification requirements determined by the Sheriff.

C. Employees who receive bilingual assignment pay at the time this MOU is adopted by the City Council shall recertify their bilingual capability every three (3) years with the first recertification conducted in July 2025. Employees who do not successfully pass required recertification examinations shall have their bilingual assignment pay removed. D. Employees who are initially certified for bilingual assignment pay after this MOU is adopted by the City Council shall recertify their bilingual capability every three

  • Assignment Pay Assignment pay is a premium added to the base salary and is intended to be used only as long as the skills, duties or circumstances it is based on are in effect. The Employer may grant assignment pay to a position to recognize specialized skills, assigned duties, and/or unique circumstances that exceed the ordinary. The Employer determines which positions qualify for the premium. The Employer will give the Union notice in accordance with Article 34, Mandatory Subjects.

  • Special Assignment Pay Assignments eligible for special assignment pay include any Officer or Sergeant assigned as an investigator or detective to the Criminal Investigations Unit, Narcotic=s Unit, a Team Detective, or any other assignment so designated by the Department Head. Limited duty assignments or assignments of less than 90 days are excluded from receiving special assignment pay. If while serving in the positions covered by this section the task/job is moved to another team/unit, the officer assigned will continue to receive special assignment pay only while performing the same job/task. Police Officer, non-uniform Sergeants and assignments receiving special assignment pay are not promotional positions. Any Police Officer or non-uniform Sergeants assigned to a position specified in this section are subject to the provisions of this contract and management rights and will, in addition to his regular salary, be paid one hundred dollars ($ 100.00) for each month he serves in that capacity. If he leaves the position without serving a full month, the pay will be allocated as follows: fifty dollars ($ 50.00) if leaving between the 1st and 15th day inclusive, and one hundred dollars ($ 100.00) if leaving between the 16th day and last day of the month inclusive. This Article does not preclude short term assignments up to ninety (90) calendar days without receiving special pay, nor does it entitle the person assigned, on a short term basis, to clothing allowance. Clothing allowance will be paid to all personnel, assigned by order and not working in uniform, during the time they are receiving special assignment pay. Assignments due to sickness, injury, or medical disability are not eligible for any benefit described in this Section.

  • Acting Assignment Pay 181. Employees assigned by the Appointing Officer or its designee to perform a substantial portion of the duties and responsibilities of a higher classification shall receive compensation at a higher salary if all of the following conditions are met:

  • Change of Control; Assignment and Subcontracting Except as set forth in this Section 7.5, neither party may assign any of its rights and obligations under this Agreement without the prior written approval of the other party, which approval will not be unreasonably withheld. For purposes of this Section 7.5, a direct or indirect change of control of Registry Operator or any subcontracting arrangement that relates to any Critical Function (as identified in Section 6 of Specification 10) for the TLD (a “Material Subcontracting Arrangement”) shall be deemed an assignment.

  • Instructional Assignment The period of an instructional assignment during an academic year shall not exceed an average of seventy-five (75) days per semester and the period for testing, advisement, and other scheduled assignments shall not exceed an average of ten (10) days per semester. Within each semester, activities referred to above shall be scheduled during contiguous weeks with the exception of spring break, if any.

  • Additional Assignments The Contractor further agrees to, and if applicable, cause each of its employees to, execute, acknowledge, and deliver all applications, specifications, oaths, assignments, and all other instruments which the City might reasonably deem necessary in order to apply for and obtain copyright protection, mask work registration, trademark registration and/or protection, letters patent, or any similar rights in any and all countries and in order to assign and convey to the City, its successors, assigns and nominees, the sole and exclusive right, title, and interest in and to the deliverables. The Contractor’s obligations to execute, acknowledge, and deliver (or cause to be executed, acknowledged, and delivered) instruments or papers such as those described in this Paragraph 38 a., b., and c. shall continue after the termination of this Contract with respect to such deliverables. In the event the City should not seek to obtain copyright protection, mask work registration or patent protection for any of the deliverables, but should desire to keep the same secret, the Contractor agrees to treat the same as Confidential Information under the terms of Paragraph 37 above.

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.

  • ASSIGNMENT/SUB-CONTRACTING The Contractor agrees that he will not sell, assign or transfer this Agreement or any part thereof or interest therein without the prior written consent of the Owner.

  • Shift Assignment A. Permanent full-time school-site custodians shall be given a 20-workday notice of a change in shift assignment. Where the change in shift assignment constitutes a hardship, the employee may request a transfer, pursuant to the provisions of Article X, Section 1(E). Shift changes shall not be made in an arbitrary or capricious manner.
