Chamber Music. For the purpose of this agreement, chamber music is defined as ‘music written by the composer for only one player to each and every part’. • Musicians engaged to play chamber music will be paid at Section Principal or Principal fees for chamber operas and / or concerts.
Chamber Music. It is recognized that an ensemble comprising 15 or less solo musicians constitutes a chamber ensemble. The Section Principal rate will be payable for musicians engaged for chamber music. An ensemble comprising 5 or less musicians will be subject to further discussion on an individual basis, although this does not guarantee that further payment will be forthcoming.
Chamber Music. A chamber music group is defined as any group of fewer than thirteen (13) musicians. The size of the group is to be determined solely by the specific instrumentation of the repertoire. When a chamber work is scheduled, the Personnel Manager must inform the musicians and the Orchestra Committee not less than sixty (60) days prior to the first rehearsal. The National Ballet shall propose fees to the members of the chamber group. The chamber group may request the TMA to negotiate on their behalf if the proposed fee is deemed inadequate.
Chamber Music. Chamber music is defined as any piece of music for 13 or fewer musicians for which a conductor is not required and where each player is required to play an independent line. A minimum fee of £164.80 will be payable for a concert of up to 3 hours in length which may be accompanied by a rehearsal of up to 3 hours on the same day, each including an interval of not less than 15 minutes. A rehearsal day will be defined by the same terms as contained in clause 3.ii of this Agreement. For extra calls on a concert or rehearsal day, for single call days, for overtime, and for doubling; then the general principles and terms which are contained within this Agreement but not necessarily just limited to clauses 3, 4, 8 and 9, will also apply to the Chamber Music fees. This includes the Hereford Rural Concerts and Night Owl Concerts.
Chamber Music. In lieu of the Provisions of paragraph B above, the Company may record chamber music under the following terms and conditions:
(a) The producer shall give the Federation 4 weeks advance notice of intent to record under this provision and should the Federation claim that this provision does not apply, it shall inform the producer of that position with its reasons therefore.
(b) There shall be a 4 hour basic session rate of $354.04 effective February 1, 2002, $362.89 effective February 1, 2003, and $373.78 effective February 1, 2004, with overtime at time and one-half, in half hour segments.
(c) 45 minutes of finished music may be taken from a 4 hour session.
(d) One 15 minute rest period per hour.
(e) Non-symphonic conditions and benefits apply unless otherwise provided.
(f) Neither the recording nor its package may claim or imply that the chamber group is associated with a parent symphony orchestra except where the recorded music is performed by no more than 16 players not playing multiple parts. This restriction does not preclude biographical sketches which identify the players as members of a symphony orchestra. If the name of the parent symphony orchestra is mentioned on the record or its package, the musicians who play shall be compensated in accordance with the symphonic provisions; if the parent name is not mentioned on the record or its package, said musicians shall be compensated in accordance with the chamber provisions.
(g) This provision shall not be used:
(i) To record compositions requiring more than 24 players or compositions of less than 5 minutes duration without prior Federation approval;
(ii) For transferring from one medium to another (i.e., for production of sound track albums).
