Classification Structures and Wage Rates a) At the commencement of employment, each Employee will be appointed by the Company to a classification level based on skills, qualification and experience and in consideration of the substance of duties required to be carried out at the time of the Project. The skill-based classification structure is set out in Appendices A and B.

Classification Structures and Wage Rates. At the commencement of employment, each Employee will be appointed by the Company to a classification level based on skills, qualification and experience and in consideration of the substance of duties required to be carried out at the time of the Project. The classification level will be determined by the primary role which the Employee is engaged to perform, regardless of that person's level of skill or qualification. The skill-based classification structure is set out in Appendix A. Employees will be required to perform such duties as are within the limits of the Employee's skill, competence, and training, including work that is incidental or peripheral to the Employee's main function. The Wage Rates for each classification level are prescribed at Appendix A. The Wage Rates and allowances in this Agreement are in compensation for, amongst other things, all disabilities and/or special skills and/or special rates associated with, or likely to be associated with the Project. Apprentices engaged by the Company will be paid in accordance with Appendix C. The Wage Rates under this Agreement will be adjusted only in accordance with Appendix A. All wage increases during the life of the Agreement will be made in accordance with Appendix A or B and will take effect from the first full pay period after the effective date.

  • Classification Changes When the University determines that a revision of a class specification for positions covered by this agreement is needed, and such revision affects the collective bargaining unit designation, the University shall notify AFSCME in writing of the proposed change. AFSCME shall notify the University, in writing, within fifteen (15) days of receipt of the proposed changes, of any comments it has concerning the proposed changes or of its desire to discuss the proposed changes.
