CLOTHING AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE. 23.1 It is recognized that the officers in this bargaining unit are required to wear a uniform in accordance with the department rules and regulations and that detectives are non-uniformed but are required to wear plain clothes while in the performance of their duties. Accordingly, it is agreed that each officer is entitled to purchase new uniforms for each contract year. This allowance is to be made available to cover officers beginning January 1st of each year. The Borough shall make payment directly to the uniform or equipment vendor after receiving the invoice and a properly completed voucher. Members are also entitled to a $300.00 one time uniform allowance subsequent to promotions. Detectives who are unable to buy required clothing or equipment through vouchers will be reimbursed within 45 days of submitting the receipts with a voucher to the Chief of Police for approval by the Borough. The uniform benefit shall be $1,200.00, still subject to contractual voucher requirements.
23.2 All Departmental issued uniforms or equipment damaged while on duty are to be replaced without delay by the department and not to be deducted from any uniform allowance or maintenance account.
23.3 Initial issue equipment to be provided by the department to all new hired officers. See attached list.

CLOTHING AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE. 25.1: Employees working in the classifications as set forth, who wear uniforms for the purpose of identification and according to specifications as determined by the City, shall be allowed an annual clothing and maintenance allowance which shall be paid on the first month following the close of the quarterly period set forth: Amount of First Quarterly Classification Quarterly Allowance Period to End on Ordinance Enforcement Supervisor $100.00 September 30, 1990 Provided further that each employee receiving such allotment shall maintain and replace clothing as may be required by the Department Head after periodic inspections.
CLOTHING AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE. 36.1: Employees in the Dispatcher Bargaining Unit shall be paid an annual clothing and maintenance allowance of Three-Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per year. The annual allowance shall be prorated on the basis of a quarterly allotment and paid at the end of the second pay period of each quarter beginning in December of 1998 for the quarter of October through December. Any employee beginning or terminating his employment during the quarterly period shall receive a prorated portion of the quarterly allotment. The allowance shall continue to be paid as long as the employee remains in the active service of the City as a dispatcher. Effective July 1, 2001, the allowance shall be Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($350.00) per year; effective July 1, 2002, the allowance shall be Three Hundred and Seventy Five Dollars ($375.00)per year; and effective July 1, 2003, the allowance shall be Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) per year. Provided further that each employee receiving such allowance shall maintain and replace clothing as may be required by the City of Dearborn, after periodic inspections. It is further provided that the City shall furnish the dispatchers, as well as dispatchers yet to be employed, with their first uniforms, which shall not be charged against this allotment.
36.2: Employees wearing uniforms shall not wear other clothing that has insignia, emblems, or representations of other organizations, businesses, teams, etc, except for the name of the manufacturer of the uniform. Uniforms shall only be worn while on duty (as directed by supervision), including commuting to and from work, and shall remain the property of the City.
CLOTHING AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE. A) At the time when a Fire Department Employee is hired, or promoted, the Township shall furnish the following: 1.) Three (3) light Blue, or White, Uniform Shirts, with badges and patches.

1) Three (3) Light Blue Uniform Shirts with badges and patches.
2) Three (3) Dark Blue Tee-shirts, with emblem.
3) Three (3) Dark Blue Uniform Pants.
4) One (1) Authorized All Season Uniform Jacket 5) One (1) Authorized Uniform Shoes
B) The Clothing and Maintenance allowance for all Employees will be Six Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars and 00/100 ($625.00) a year beginning with the second pay period of January. This will be issued by a separate check.
C) Employees shall maintain a minimum amount of clothing as listed in “A” and replace them when clothing becomes worn, torn, or faded.
D) All Employees that are promoted to a higher rank shall be provided with the appropriate uniforms. This change in uniform will consist of Three (3) White Class B Shirts, department patches and badges. The appropriate structural helmet will also be issued.
CLOTHING AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE. A. Each officer shall receive an annual clothing allowance. Upon ratification of this Agreement, each employee shall be entitled to receive a retroactive clothing and maintenance allowance of Six Hundred Twenty-Five ($625.00) Dollars, (Six Hundred Seventy-Five ($675) in 2004 and Seven Hundred Twenty-Five ($725) in 2005)
1. If an employee has fully expended his/her annual uniform and maintenance allowance for the replacement and maintenance of his/her police equipment and thereafter damages a uniform or a part thereof in the line of duty, the Borough will replace the damage item or items upon receiving proof that he/she has expended his/her annual uniform maintenance allowance.
B. The Borough will endeavor to make any changes in uniform prior to April 1 of each year. If a change in the uniform is made by the Borough after April 1, the Borough will pay the full cost of said change in addition to the uniform provided in Paragraph A hereof.
C. The employee shall keep receipts of all money expended on clothing and uniforms for the purposes of paragraphs A and B herein and will be required to produce receipts when making application for additional funds for the reasons set forth above.
CLOTHING AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE. A. New permanent employees during the life of this Agreement shall receive, at Township expense, the following uniform, as weather requires: Thirteen (13) pair of work pants. Thirteen (13) long-sleeved shirts. Thirteen (13) T-shirts.
CLOTHING AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE. All members of the bargaining unit shall be granted an annual uniform cleaning and maintenance allowance for $325.00 annually, to be paid in one $162.50 installment on the first pay period of the fiscal year and one $162.50 installment on the first pay period in January of each contract year.
