Collegiality. The Board acknowledges the reasonable, certain, and known rights and responsibilities of members to participate in the formulation and/or recommendation of academic and Library policies and procedures within the University. The Board acknowledges that openness and transparency are essential to encourage collegiality and academic freedom. The involvement and participation of members in the selection of senior academic administrators is accepted and supported by the Board.
Collegiality. 11.2.1 The University acknowledges the rights and responsibilities of Members to participate in the formulation and/or recommendation of academic policies and procedures within the University through duly constituted collegial bodies and committees. Collegiality. 11.2.1 The Parties recognize the contribution of part-time contract academic staff and part-time professional librarians in the fulfilment of the academic objectives of the University, and acknowledge that this contribution may take the form of representation on the collegial bodies of the University as outlined in 11.2.2. If a Member resigns from a position under 11.2.2, a replacement shall be selected in accordance with the procedures in 11.2.2.

31.2.3 Should the University strike a search committee for a department head not referred to in Article 31.2.2, the staff who report to that department head will select their representative(s) to the search committee by majority vote.

Collegiality at the University consists of attitudes and actions that show respect for one's faculty and staff colleagues, as well as students. A lack of collegiality can negatively impact overall performance in teaching and service. Disagreements should be expressed in a professional and respectful manner so as not to adversely impact departments, programs, students, or the University as a whole.
Collegiality. Continuing professional development benefits teachers by building confidence which, inter alia, enables them to participate more fully in collegial working both within and outwith the school. CPD also contributes to improvements in learning and teaching. CPD benefits schools by building capacity for school improvement which contributes to the raising of achievement and attainment.
