RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERS. 12.01 Faculty members have the right and responsibility to engage in teaching; research and scholarship or creative work; and service to the University and the Union. Faculty members are expected to devote a proportionate distribution of their time to these areas of responsibility consistent with Article 24.03 (a) (Workload for Faculty Members) and/or some other workload distribution as determined under the terms of this Collective Agreement (consistent with Article 24.03
RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERS. 14.01 Members shall have the right to participate in the activities of their learned professions and societies.
14.02 Search or review committees shall be established to advise on positions including those of: President, Vice-President(s), Associate Vice-President(s), Xxxx(s), Associate Xxxx(s), Principals, newly created similar Academic Administrator positions, and, where feasible, acting positions. At least one Member in the constituency affected shall be elected to serve on such a committee through an election conducted by the Association. All Members shall be eligible to nominate and vote in such an election. Member(s) elected to a search or review committee shall ensure, insofar as is reasonably possible, that they are available to fulfill their responsibilities as members of the committee throughout its proceedings.
14.03 Members shall, in their published work(s), indicate their affiliation with the University and any reliance on the work and assistance of colleagues and/or students.
14.04 When addressing themselves to the community at large, Members retain the rights and responsibilities which flow from the exercise of academic freedom. Unless otherwise authorized, the Member shall not purport to speak or act on behalf of the Employer, but shall have the right to indicate his/her status within and affiliation with the University.
14.05 Pursuant to Article 16, the Member has the right to a healthy and safe environment in which the academic functions can be carried out effectively in accordance with this Article.
14.06 Members who receive requests for references shall deal with them in a fair and expeditious manner. The Member shall clearly state that the reference is the Member's professional opinion.

In addition, a Member has the responsibility to undertake other activities in accordance with this Collective Agreement. A Member may also exercise rights as specified in this Collective Agreement.

8.03 A Member shall:
(a) teach, including instructing laboratories where applicable, and

(e) perform administrative duties related to his/her teaching as a contribution to the operation of the Collegiate, provided that these do not unduly interfere with his/her primary responsibility, and
(f) participate in committee work in the Collegiate and in the University community, and
(g) assist in planning and supervising social and extra-curricular activities in the Collegiate, provided that this does not unduly interfere with his/her primary responsibility, and
(h) comply with prescribed procedures and established deadlines.
(a) The normal teaching load per year shall be six (6) sections, to be taught during the Fall/Winter and Spring or the Fall/Winter and Summer sessions.
(b) Subject to Clause 8.04(a) above, sections shall be distributed as equitably as possible among all Members.
(c) Where a Member agrees to teach more sections than the accepted teaching load for that year, according to Clause 8.04(a) above, he/she shall be compensated in accordance with Clause 22.10.
8.05 The standard work year for a Member on regular appointment shall include the Regular Session, September 1 of one year to April 30 of the following year, and the May/June Spring Day Session for a total of ten (10) teaching months. A. GRADING OF STUDENTS
1. The instructor shall maintain the exclusive right and responsibility to determine grades and other evaluations of students consistent with the criteria in the syllabus.
2. No grade or evaluation shall be changed without the approval of the instructor, as long as said instructor is a faculty member at Clackamas Community College, except, at the request of the Vice President of Instruction and Student Services, the appropriate Xxxx and Department Chair/Director, who, in consultation with three faculty members, including at least one part-time faculty member chosen by the Association, shall review the grade and authorize a change if appropriate.

14.06 Role of the RCMP and other investigative authorities on campus
RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERS. 6.1 Each Adopter shall identify a Representative who is invited to attend General Meetings and to participate in the activities of the Consortium, subject to the terms of this Adopter Agreement. Each Adopter may replace its Representative at any time by providing written notice to the Secretary.
6.2 Each Member shall at all times act in good faith in furtherance of the Objectives.
6.3 Each Member’s rights and obligations under this Adopter Agreement shall become effective when the Member joins the Consortium.
6.4 Adopters are not invited to attend or participate in the Steering Committee Meetings, nor do Adopters have any voting rights with respect to the activities of the Consortium, except to the extent otherwise provided by the Steering Committee or as expressly set forth in the Policies and Procedures. If an Adopter wishes to provide input to the Steering Committee, such Adopter may provide such input in writing to the Secretary in accordance with the Policies and Procedures.
