Committee Purpose. The purpose of the committee shall be to discuss matters affecting the health, safety and working environment of bargaining unit members, the quality of police service to the community, and any other problems of a general nature. The committee may adopt such rules of order, as it deems necessary including, the preparation of agendas and meeting minutes. The committee may make recommendation(s) to the Police Chief concerning any issue(s) addressed by the committee. It is recognized by the parties that the labor management committee is not a forum for collective bargaining, or for resolving specific grievances.
Committee Purpose. The committee shall consider best practices and legal mandates and shall recommend health and safety regulations, guidelines, training programs and necessary corrective action concerning conditions associated with the work environment. Health and safety issues to be considered by the Union/SFMTA shall include, but not be limited to, ergonomics, use of SFMTA non-revenue vehicles, shelters for street corner locations, use and inspection of video display terminals, chemical compounds, and use of personal vehicles for shelters during inclement weather. Local 200 and SFMTA agree to work to address the ongoing Street Supervisor and TMC on-street parking challenges.

Committee Purpose. A joint committee will be constituted to provide a venue to address positions which the Employer seeks to have excluded from the bargaining unit. Such positions may be encumbered or vacant.

The Committee will: • Identify barriers, best practices, career path options, and educational/training opportunities that could be offered to enhance career development and advancement opportunities for professional employees, which includes examining: ▪ Use of the classification system within and across agencies; ▪ Methods of advancing employees who have grown their skills and knowledge; ▪ The qualification requirements for MAPE positions; and ▪ Other strategies the committee believes would aid employees in their career development and advancement.

Regulatory Approval Committee (“RAC”) Review and approve all research and development plans and projects associated with any necessary regulatory approvals, all associated publications, and all regulatory filings and correspondence relating to gaining regulatory approval under the Alkaloid Program; and review and approve itemized budgets with respect to the foregoing. Commercialization Committee (“CC”) Establish project plans and review and approve activities and budgets for Commercialization activities under the Alkaloid Program. Intellectual Property Committee (“IPC”) Evaluate intellectual property issues in connection with the Alkaloid Program; review and approve itemized budgets with respect to the foregoing.
