COMMUTERS. The Company and the Union agree that commuter operations shall be carried out by the Company on the following terms and conditions:
1. Commuters are employees who -
(a) are resident within reasonable Riding and/or Walking Distance of the area of operations;
(b) for whom board and lodging are not made available by the Company.
2. The Company will arrange to provide free transportation from a designated marshalling point or points for each commuting area to the operating areas and return.
COMMUTERS. The Company and the Union agree that commuter operations shall be carried out by the Company on the following terms and conditions:

COMMUTERS. Employees who are required by the Company and agree to provide their own means of transportation will be paid thirty-two (32) cents or the Company policy rate per kilometer, whichever is greater, for all kilometers traveled to the work site and return from either their residence or Hearst, whichever is the shortest distance. It is understood that the vehicle owner will accept passengers when convenient, upon request by the Company.
COMMUTERS. The Company and the Union agree that commuter operations shall be carried out by the Company on the following terms and conditions:
i) Commuters are employees who:
(a) are resident within reasonable Riding and/or walking distance of the area of operations;
(b) for whom board and lodging are not made available by the company.
ii) The Company will arrange to provide free transportation from a designated marshalling point or points for each commuting area to the operating areas and return.
iii) Time spent by pieceworkers or day workers travelling on the vehicle provided from a marshalling point or points to debarkation point or points plus time spent walking from debarkation point or points to place of work in excess of one and a half (1 1/2) hour each way shall be paid for on the following basis:
(a) Day workers at their regular rate of pay.
(b) Pieceworkers on mechanical cut and skid operations shall be paid at the rate of Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding). The marshalling points shall be: Xxxxxxxxxx’x (Twin City Crossroads) for Dog River Matawin operations. Tempo (Intersection of Highway 599 and Trans-Canada) in Ignace for English River operations Mile One (Intersection of Highway 527 and Trans- Canada) for Spruce River Forest Operations Dorion for Black Xxxxxxxx operations Firesteel garage for Firesteel Contractors Ltd. Operations Upsala garage for Upsala Forest Products operations (haul present practice) Shuniah garage for Shuniah Forest Products Operations Kakabeka for Renewable Forest Products Operations The marshalling point for Xxxxxx-Xxxx operations shall be agreed upon by the Union and the Company with the understanding that if an agreement cannot be reached then Thunder Bay shall be the marshalling point for Dog River Matawin and Spruce River Forest operations. Dorion for Black Xxxxxxxx operations, Ignace for English River operations and Savant Lake for the Caribou Forest operations. The marshalling point for any other operations or agreed upon contractor movement shall be agreed upon by the Union and the Company with the understanding that if an agreement cannot be reached then the city of Thunder Bay shall be the marshalling point. Total shift and travel time will not exceed thirteen and a half (13 ½) hours. Travel time in excess of five (5) hours will be done during normal eight (8) hours shift operation and travel time in excess of three (3) hours will be done during the normal ten (10) hour shift operation.
COMMUTERS. COMMUTERS. For employees that commute daily to a worksite from their place of residence, and who do not receive accommodation provided by the Employer, as per 15.03:
a. There shall be a free travel zone, which is defined as an eighty (80) kilometre radius around the location of each worksite. Any employee who resides within this radius will receive no compensation for travel or accommodation as further particularized in Article 15 herein.
b. Employees that use their own personal vehicle to commute shall be remunerated in accordance with the following table: 0-80 km Free Zone 81 km to 100 km $22.50 23.50 25.00 101 km or more $32.50 33.50 35.00
c. The Employer shall provide a scaled map for each project in which the above distances shall be denoted by circles, the circumference for which represent each of the above travel zones. This map shall be provided to the Union in advance of work starting at the worksite.

COMMUTERS. The Company and the Union agree to the following: There are three (3) Terminal Points being La Sarre in the Province of Quebec, Cochrane and Iroquois Falls in Ontario. The Company will provide plug-ins at each Terminal Point. The Company will provide suitable vehicles at La Sarre, Cochrane and Iroquois Falls to reach the worksite. All qualified drivers will be paid a flat rate of $35/day if he has a passenger on board. Xxxxxx X. It is understood that this Agreement is supplementary to the Collective Agreement between the parties and is intended to cover the requirement to have flexibility in shift scheduling. (a) An employee who is not a resident within reasonable riding and/or walking distance of a commuting operation, who exercises his seniority in accordance with Article 12 on this operation, shall receive, effective date of ratification, $10.65 per day in lieu of being provided board and lodging in a camp for each day that he is available for work as per his scheduled work week (including overtime days). He shall continue to receive the commuter allowance for the term of the Agreement or until such time that:
i) He returns in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 - Seniority, to employment in a camp where board and lodging is made available to him. If an employee, who is not a resident within reasonable riding and/or walking distance of a commuter operation, elects not to fill a job vacancy of equal or greater status in a camp operation, or on a commuter operation of which he is a resident, and which he is qualified in accordance with Article 12 to occupy, he will forfeit the commuter allowance as per Article 2(a) above, for the remaining period he continues to be employed on this commuter operation.
ii) He has established himself as a resident of that particular commuter operation.
iii) He is laid off in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 - Seniority.
(b) A new employee who is not a resident and who is hired to work in a commuting operation, shall receive, effective date of ratification, $10.65 per day in lieu of being provided board and lodging in camp for each day that he is available for work as per his scheduled work week (including overtime days) up to 100 days or until such time that:
i) He is employed in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 - Seniority, in a camp where board and lodging is made available to him.
