COMPENSATION FOR EXTENDED CONTRACTS. A. Teachers that receive extended contracts shall be compensated at their daily rate of pay for each day beyond the regular teaching contract. B. If it becomes necessary for a summer school teacher to be absent for sick/family leave, the employee’s sick time will be used. For sessions of 20 days or less one (1) absence may be used. For all other sessions a maximum of two (2) absences may be used.

COMPENSATION FOR EXTENDED CONTRACTS. 4.2.1 The positions with extended contracts will be compensated at the individual’s daily rate (base salary divided by 185 contract days times number of additional days of service) for the purposes of an extended contract.
COMPENSATION FOR EXTENDED CONTRACTS. Librarians and counselors shall receive compensation at the regular daily rate for all additional days. Librarians and counselors shall be assigned additional days as provided in Article VIII, Section 3 of the Agreement. Coordinator additional days and assignment factors shall be determined by the President on an annual basis. Assignment of the additional days and assignment factors are management decisions and, as such, outside the collective bargaining agreement. In order for advancement to take place, Faculty Members must follow the procedures defined in the document "FACULTY PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT" attached hereto as Appendix B. All units earned must be verified by certified copies of transcripts sent directly to the Human Resources Office by the Registrar of the granting institution. Summer school units may be used for advancement upon submittal of a letter from the instructor of a class provided that an official transcript must be received in the Human Resources Office no later than December 1 of the same year. When Continuing Education Units are used in lieu of undergraduate units, Faculty Members must submit documented proof of attendance hours certified by the accredited agency offering the units. In order to advance at the beginning of a semester, Faculty Member must submit an application for advancement to the Human Resources Office no later than May 1 of the academic year immediately preceding the Fall Semester during which advancement is to take place and September 1 preceding the Spring Semester during which advancement is to take place. All units must be verified no later than August 15 preceding the Fall Semester in which advancement is to take place and February 15 of the Spring Semester in which advancement is to take place. In cases where Continuing Education Units are to be applied, Faculty Members must submit documented proof of attendance hours verified by the accredited agency. Faculty Members initially assigned at the beginning of the second semester of an academic year may be considered for step advancement at the beginning of the next academic year. If not advanced at this time, Faculty Members shall be considered for advancement at the beginning of the next succeeding academic year. Under no circumstances shall advancement occur at mid- year.
COMPENSATION FOR EXTENDED CONTRACTS. Compensation for extended contracts shall be calculated as follows: The licensed professional will be provided appropriate placement on the salary schedule. The scheduled salary will be divided by 191 (the days on the contract) to determine a daily rate. The daily rate will then be multiplied times the number of days on the extended contract.
COMPENSATION FOR EXTENDED CONTRACTS. When days on the contract exceed that found on the discussed teacher’s contract, the days shall be paid at the per diem rate. Per diem shall be calculated as the teacher’s annual salary divided by the number of days found on the discussed teacher’s contract. A teacher shall be paid his or her daily rate for days worked beyond the contract year.
COMPENSATION FOR EXTENDED CONTRACTS. Employees employed on an extended contract basis (beyond the regular 9-month teacher contract) shall be compensated according to the following formula: the value of each extended day shall equal the annual contract amount divided by the number of days in the regular teacher contract.

COMPENSATION FOR EXTENDED CONTRACTS. Extended contracts shall be compensated at each teacher’s daily rate, which shall be computed based on the teacher’s base salary divided by the total number of school days (i.e., teacher work days) in the school year (as determined by the school calendar). Raises for certified staff with extended contracts shall be applied to the teacher’s base 184 day salary.
