Compensation for Job-Related Injuries. An absence due to an injury or childhood disease incurred in the course of the professional employee's employment and in fulfillment of his/her duties shall not be charged against the professional employee's sick leave days. The Board will pay to such professional employee the difference between the professional employee's salary and the benefits received under the Pennsylvania Workmens' Compensation Act for a period of time not exceeding one (1) year after the commencement of Workmens' Compensation benefits. When compensation reimbursement is received for absence due to injury, the amount of compensation received shall be deducted from regular pay due the employee, and the balance will be paid in order that the total pay received from School Board funds and compensation insurance shall equal the regular pay that would be received for other absences.

Compensation for Job-Related Injuries. An employee who is unable to work due to an injury arising out of and in the course of employment with the County shall receive full pay from the date of injury or date of report (whichever is later), for a period not to exceed twelve (12) months, until the Public Agency Compensation Trust (PACT) determines the employee is eligible to return to work or that he/she is permanently, totally, or partially disabled. The injury must have been reported per White Pine County’s Sheriff’s Office Policy. At the twelve (12) month mark or the time of determination by PACT, whichever comes first, if the employee is not able to return to work the employee will have the option to exhaust all leave banks (vacation, sick, comp). At the time when the leave banks have been exhausted a determination regarding disability or the ability to return to work will need to be made. If the employee is unable to return to work, they may apply for a leave of absence per the WPCSEA contract article 14. All PACT wage compensation checks must be endorsed by the employee and returned to the county for the employee to receive full pay during the benefit period not to exceed 12 months.

The Board will pay to such bargaining unit member the difference between the member's salary and the benefits received under the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act for a period of time not exceeding one (l) year after the commencement of Workers' Compensation benefits.

  • Compensation for Additional Services Additional Services shall be compensated as set forth on Exhibit A for the stipulated payment amounts set forth therein.
