Compulsory Quarantine. Salary for time lost due to compulsory quarantine shall be paid to employees when certified by the local Medical Officer of Health, and is not chargeable to sick leave. Nothwithstanding the foregoing, an employee who is temporarily prohibited by her or his physician from entering a particular area or building due to the presence or suspected presence of an organism or illness of a temporary nature shall so notify the Manager of Employee Relations/Services, and may be re-assigned as necessary during the period of prohibition. The employee shall be responsible for providing the Board with a medical certificate stating the reason for the prohibition, the nature of and reason for the concern, and the time period for which re-assignment may be necessary.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, where an employee is prohibited by her or his physician from entering on a temporary basis a particular area or worksite due to the presence or suspected presence of a communicable illness of a temporary or transient nature, the employee shall so notify the Manager of Employee Relations/Services, who shall re-assign the employee. It is the responsibility of the employee to provide to the Board a medical certificate stating the period of anticipated prohibition, and the nature of and the reason for the prohibition.

Compulsory Quarantine. The Company shall reimburse the Insured Person up to the Maximum Benefit as stated in the Schedule of Benefits for the amount of pro-rated basic tour fee and/or Accommodation forfeited after the commencement of the insured Journey where the Insured Person is Compulsorily Quarantined due to suspected exposure to Pandemic Influenza infection. Compulsory Quarantine payable under Section 4b(3) in relation to the amount of basic tour fee and/or Accommodation forfeited will be calculated in proportion to the number of quarantined days during the insured Journey. The maximum amount payable under Section 4b(1) (Curtailment Expenses), Section 4b(2) (Journey re-arrangement) and Section 4b(3) (Compulsory Quarantine) shall not in aggregate exceed 100% of the Maximum Benefit for Section 4b (Journey Interruption) as stated in the Schedule of Benefits. This coverage Section 4b (Journey Interruption) is effective only if this insurance is purchased before the Insured Person becomes aware of any circumstances which can lead to the disruption or interruption of the insured Journey.
Compulsory Quarantine. Where an employee is under compulsory quarantine, such employee shall continue to receive his/her regular salary and it is understood and agreed that there shall not be a reduction from Sick Leave accumulation for such enforced absence.
Compulsory Quarantine. An employee who must submit to compulsory quarantine shall be entitled to twenty- one days paid leave of absence.
