Cross Utilization. Notwithstanding the provisions of Articles and it is agreed that at the base employees in the Aircraft Services category may be utilized to perform the duties of the Aircraft Cleaner classification and that employees in the Aircraft Grooming category may be utilized to perform the duties of the Aircraft Services Technician classification.

Personnel of the Law Enforcement Division or Peace Officer unit shall not perform work or duties of the personnel assigned to the Corrections Division, except where they interface, unless circumstances requiring immediate assistance occur or an emergency situation exists. Correspondingly no personnel of the Corrections Division shall perform duties of the Law Enforcement Division.

Cross Utilization. All work shall be assigned by the WSCC on the basis of traditional craft jurisdiction. However, the WSCC shall have the right to assign work to individuals outside of their classification. In the event of such assignment, the individual employee shall receive the rate of pay for such employee's classification or for the classification of the work assigned, whichever is higher. The employee must have the certification and skills necessary to perform the work assigned. This right will not be used to reduce or eliminate bargaining unit positions.

An employee covered by this Contract may be assigned to or perform duties otherwise performed by those in different classifications provided that if such work continues for ninety (90) days or more, the affected employee may request a transfer to the new classification. Management and other non-bargaining unit employees may assist the workforce by temporarily performing Union work provide this does not occur on a regular or basis.

It is agreed to by the parties that all employees in the bargaining unit may, from time to time be required to perform dispatch, road supervisor or driver duties, provided they are qualified to perform the work assignment.
