Custodial Uniforms a. The Board will supply each custodian with at least three (3) weekly sets of uniforms including long sleeve shirts or blouses, short sleeve shirts or blouses, and pants or skirts.
b. The Board will reimburse each custodian up to one hundred-fifty dollars ($150.00) per year towards the purchase of insulated work shoes.
Custodial Uniforms. 1. Employees will be required to wear an approved uniform for work each day, which will include steel tipped work shoes, shirts, and pants.
2. For each year of the contract, the custodians will receive the following:
Custodial Uniforms. 1. The Board of Education shall provide uniforms to custodial personnel. Custodians are to receive two long-sleeve shirts, one short-sleeve shirt, two T-shirts, and two pairs of pants per each year of this contract. Building Service Personnel are to receive three smocks per each year of this contract. Each employee shall be provided with one pair of "safety- type" work shoes per year. Custodians shall be entitled to request work boots or work shoes other than steel-tipped shoes. All custodians shall be issued complete foul weather gear of industrial quality, including boots, coats and gloves, as needed, but not more than once every two years, as well as the necessary equipment to remove/shovel snow.
2. All custodial employees must wear the uniform provided by the Board. In the event the employee fails to wear his/her uniform, on the first occurrence in any one year (July 1 to June 30), he/she shall be verbally warned by the Supervisor. On the second such occurrence, he/she shall receive a written reprimand from the Supervisor. On the third such occurrence, he/she shall be called to a meeting with his/her Supervisor, the Superintendent or his designee and an Association Representative to discuss the problem. A record of this meeting will be placed in the employee’s personnel file. On any subsequent occurrences, he/she may be sent home to change and shall be docked for the time away from work.
Custodial Uniforms. A. Custodial support staff shall at all times when on duty wear uniforms supplied by the Board of Education. The Board will ensure that each maintenance and custodial employee will have five (5) serviceable uniforms at the Board's expense.
Custodial Uniforms. All custodians will be required to wear School District approved uniforms during their working hours.
Subd. 1. Upon hire, a probationary custodian will choose up to $75 of uniform attire from the School District approved uniform list with at least two items of upper body wear, except hoodies and jackets. They will receive an additional $75 at the conclusion of their probationary period to purchase additional uniform attire.
Subd. 2. Each non-probation custodian will receive $150.00 uniform allowance and must purchase (2) new shirts from the School District approved uniform list on an annual basis beginning July 1st and ending June 30th . If the custodian is on the grounds crew they must purchase two items of upper body wear appropriate to their needs. The remaining balance must be used to purchase acceptable work pants, shoes, boots, work shoes, or items off the district approved uniform list. A remaining balance of $10.00 or less may be rolled over into the following year.
Custodial Uniforms. Custodial personnel shall receive, within sixty (60) days of hiring and at the beginning of each successive year, two (2) work uniforms appropriate to the duties performed by said individuals. After a custodian has acquired four (4) uniforms, a pair of appropriate work shoes may be substituted for his annual uniform allowance. Additionally, each custodian shall be provided with an appropriate coat for working in cold weather.
Custodial Uniforms. The District will furnish the custodial employees with two (2) uniforms per work year. Furthermore, the District will provide cold weather gear for those custodians responsible for snow removal one (1) time during the life of this agreement. The employee is responsible for the personal laundry of uniforms and cold weather gear and the purchase of additional uniforms, if desired. Complete uniforms are to be worn at all times that school is in session and while on duty for evening functions or extra activities. Exceptions can be made for employees during the summer months when cleaning of the buildings takes place. In the event the employee has received all required cold weather gear, he/she may request to substitute snow boots, not to exceed seventy-five dollars ($75.00) under the terms and conditions of this section.
Custodial Uniforms. Custodians and Nurses will work with building supervisors to provide an adequate amount of t-shirts and jeans (custodians) or scrubs (nurses) not to exceed $200 per employee per school year.
