Custodial Personnel. With regard to custodial personnel only, overtime at a job site shall first be offered to support employees assigned at the job site, by seniority and qualifications. If a support employee at the job site declines to work the offered overtime, then the support employee shall not be entitled to work overtime (unless specifically required to do so by his supervisor) for a period of twenty (20) calendar days from the date of the offered overtime. If no support employee at the job site accepts the offered overtime, then the overtime will be offered district-wide based on seniority and qualifications to those persons who have signed the overtime list which will be maintained by Plant Operations. If a support employee on the district-wide list declines to work the offered overtime, then the support employee shall not be entitled to work overtime (unless specifically required to do so by his supervisor) for a period of twenty (20) calendar days from the date of the offered overtime.
Custodial Personnel. Hours of work shall be forty (40) hours in a week. The daily and weekly schedules shall be established by management. Employees will receive two fifteen minute breaks --one in the first half of the shift and one in the second half of the shift in accordance with Public Works Policy #6. There will be no break from work for lunch. Lunch may be eaten "on the fly”; work in progress will not stop while lunch is eaten.
Custodial Personnel. Effective with the 2010-2011 contract year, there will be three (3) classifications of custodial personnel: Head Custodian, Custodian III, and Custodian II/Cleaner.
Custodial Personnel. Custodial Personnel Work in the District’s K-12 Complex and School Field. Custodians shall be paid for 248 contractual work days per year, plus paid holidays.
Custodial Personnel. 1. Custodial personnel may be used on a system-wide basis as needed and requested by the Superintendent of Schools.
2. It is the policy of the Board to have Custodians perform all maintenance functions of which they are capable. When it is necessary to call maintenance assistance from outside the custodial staff, all preliminary work shall be done by the custodial staff. The inadvertent incidental performance of bargaining unit work by other District employees shall not constitute a waiver of exclusivity by the bargaining unit of that work, however, these incidental, inadvertent occurrences shall not be subject to the grievance procedure. Where substantial work is involved any violation of this paragraph shall be grievable.
3. Custodians’ uniforms will be provided and laundered. The School District will provide two (2) uniforms each school year.
Custodial Personnel all full-time custodial, maintenance or groundskeeper personnel. Herein, these employees shall be referred to as custodial personnel.
Custodial Personnel. The work year for Custodial Personnel shall be Monday through Friday, inclusive, of each week, from July 1 through June 30 of each calendar year.

Custodial Personnel a. The custodial calendar shall be structured by the Secretary of the Board of Education. The custodial staff shall have the following holidays off: Christmas Xxx Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day Christmas Day Memorial Day Friday after Thanksgiving Day New Year's Eve Good Friday New Year's Day Independence Day President's Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day If any of these days occurs on the weekend, then each custodian shall be assigned an alternate day off, either the Friday before or Monday after the holiday, in the sole discretion of the Board Administrator. The Board Administrator may restrict a four-day weekend where dictated by the needs of the school. In such event, a different alternate day shall be assigned.
b. In the event that a holiday falls on a weekend, as set forth in paragraph a. above, the Association may designate not less than fourteen (14) days in advance of said holiday, whether the holiday pay, as set forth in this paragraph will be paid on the actual holiday, occurring on the weekend, or on the substitute day, scheduled on Friday or Monday, by the Board Administrator. The Board shall advise the Association of the proposed holiday or holidays no later than October first of that year.
c. In the event that any employee is called back to work on any holiday set forth in paragraph 2.a. above, he/she shall be compensated for the hours worked at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times his/her straight time plus a replacement day off at a later time. Said replacement day shall be scheduled with the approval of the Board Administrator, but in no event later than sixty (60) days from the date of the original holiday. At the employee's option, the employee may cash out the replacement day at his/her straight time rate. He/She shall receive no other compensation.
