Damage or Loss of Equipment. Student is solely responsible for the care and security of the District-issued Device they receive. Student is responsible for the full cost of replacement for any District-issued Device that student fails to return to TJUHSD or willfully damages. TJUHSD reserves the right to withhold student’s grades, diploma, and/or transcript until such payment is received. Student is responsible for the following costs if the District-issued Device is damaged or not returned: Screen $120 $77 Keyboard $40 $30 Total Loss $330 $322 Theft $330 $322 In lieu of the payments listed above, TJUHSD shall offer the option of parent/student volunteer work. The volunteer work, including the type of work, hours required, and location shall be determined solely by the Superintendent or designee. Optional insurance coverage may be available pursuant to TJUHSD’S Device Insurance Policy. District-issued Device must never be left in an unsecured location or any unsupervised area. Any District-issued Device left unattended and found on campus, should be turned into the main office. District-issued Device shall not be stored on campus overnight, unless required by the staff. If the District-issued Device is damaged or malfunctions, student must take the device to the school’s appointed designee within 3 school days for evaluation. In the event that student is unable to bring the District-issued Device to the school’s appointed designee, he/she must contact the site principal via telephone or via email within 3 school days outlining the nature of the damage or malfunction. At the end of the school year, student is expected to return the District-issued Device in working condition. If the District-issued Device is lost or stolen, the student must report the incident to the main office and/or principal and the Technology Department within 3 school days. In the case of theft, student must also file a police report. ● Bring the District-issued Device, fully charged, to school every day. ● Keep any District-issued Device with you or within your sight at all times. ● Do not let anyone use the District-issued Device other than your parents or guardians. ● Adhere to TJUHSD’s Responsible Use Policy (RUP) at all times when using the District-issued Device. ● Report any problems, damage or theft of the District-issued Device immediately to your teacher. ● While working on a District-issued Device on campus, students must stay connected to the TJUHSD wireless network only and shall not connect to other...
Damage or Loss of Equipment a) Students bring their own device for use at LLV at their own risk.
b) For the removal of any doubt, Xxxxxxxxx Learning Village will not be responsible for any loss, theft or damage to: (a) the device (b) data stored on the device while the device is at school or during a school-related activity, in negligence or otherwise.
c) Parents and students should consider whether their device requires insurance and whether specific accidental loss and breakage insurance for use outside the home is appropriate for the device.
d) In circumstances where a device is damaged by abuse or malicious act of another student (“the other student”), reimbursement may be required. The Principal will, having regard to all the circumstances of the matter, determine whether the other student is responsible for the damage to the device and whether costs incurred in the repair of the device should be borne by the other student.
e) The above clause does not bind students to the determination of the Principal.
f) Students should not bring peripheral equipment, including power charges and cables to school with their device. Liability for damage or loss of peripheral equipment will in all circumstances be borne by the student.

Damage or Loss of Equipment. 2.1 Insurance and deductible: FACS provides ongoing tech support and accidental damage coverage through Dell up to one accident per year. FACS does not cover theft or loss of the Computer or the power adapter.
Damage or Loss of Equipment. 2.2.1 All devices used at school by Xxxxxx SC students must be covered by a current manufacturer’s warranty or support agreement.
2.2.2 All devices used at school by Xxxxxx SC students must be covered by a current insurance agreement. Un-insured devices may not be used at school.
2.2.3 All care is taken by Xxxxxx SC staff members when supervising and supporting students in their use of technology. The college takes no responsibility for any damage or loss that occurs to a student device.
Damage or Loss of Equipment. 2.2.1 All devices and batteries are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty covers manufacturer’s defects and normal use of the device. It does not cover negligence, abuse or malicious damage.
2.2.2 Any problems, vandalism, damage, loss or theft of the device must be reported immediately to the school. This includes any unauthorised “personalisation” of the device such as scribing, adding stickers etc.
2.2.3 In the case of suspected theft a police report must be made by the family and a copy of the report provided to the school.
2.2.4 In the case of loss or accidental damage a statement should be signed by a parent/ carer and provided to the school.
2.2.5 If a device is damaged or lost the principal will determine whether replacement is appropriate and/or whether or not the student retains access to a device for home use.
2.2.6 Students will be required to replace lost or damaged chargers.
2.2.7 If a device is damaged and said damage is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty or any of the school’s insurance arrangements, the principal of the School may determine that the student must pay to the school the costs of repairing the damage or if necessary the costs of replacing the device.

2.2.4. In the case of loss or accidental damage, a witnessed statutory declaration signed by a parent/carer should be provided.
2.2.5. Devices that are damaged or lost, whether by neglect, abuse, malicious act, or any other means will require reimbursement. The Principal will determine: • whether replacement is appropriate • whether or not the student is responsible for repair or replacement costs • whether or not the student retains access to device loans.
2.2.6. Students will be required to replace lost or damaged chargers and accessories.

Damage or Loss of Equipment. You should take good care of the device. It is school property and yours to use for educational purposes. Each student is responsible for maintaining a 100% working device at all times. The student shall use reasonable care to ensure that the device is not damaged. Please refer to the Responsibilities section below for a description of proper care. A student who does not have a device due to being damaged accidentally will be allowed to use a device from school, if one is available. RSD98 understands accidental damage to the devices may occur from time to time. The District does not intend to charge the student and parent the costs of repair or replacement when damage occurs accidentally. Examples of accidental damage includes, but are not limited to: Device is stolen Dropping the device Pet destroys device Device is knocked off of a table RSD98 reserves the right to charge the student and parent the full cost of repair or replacement when damage occurs due to negligence determined by administration. Examples of negligence include, but are not limited to: Lending equipment to others (excluding to a parent to check their child’s usage) Using the equipment in an unsafe manner or environment Throwing or tossing the device Purposely defacing or destroying the device Purposely storing the device outside or in extremely hot or cold temperatures Participating in horseplay leading to damage of the device Damaging a device or equipment a second time in a school year, whether accidental or not, is considered negligence Losing device or equipment
