DISCRIMINATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS. 34.1 The Contractor shall not unlawfully discriminate within the meaning and scope of any law, enactment, order, or regulation relating to discrimination (whether in sex, age, race, gender, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, maternity, pregnancy, marriage, civil partnership or otherwise) in employment. 34.2 The Contractor shall take all reasonable steps (at his own expense) to secure the observance of clause 34.1 by all servants, employees or agents of the Contractor engaged in performance of this Contract and shall impose on any sub-contractor obligations substantially similar to those imposed on the Contractor by clause 34.1. 34.3 The Contractor shall notify the Authority immediately of any investigation or proceedings against the Contractor under the Equality Xxx 0000 and shall cooperate fully and promptly with any requests of the person or body conducting such investigation or proceedings, including allowing access to any documents or data required, attending any meetings and providing any information requested. 34.4 The Contractor shall indemnify the Authority against all costs, claims, charges, demands, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses incurred or suffered by the Authority arising out of or in connection with any investigation conducted or any proceedings brought under the Equality Xxx 0000 due directly or indirectly to any act or omission by the Contractor, its agents, employees or sub-contractors. 34.5 The Contractor shall (and shall use its reasonable endeavours to procure that its staff shall) at all times comply with the provisions of the Human Rights Xxx 0000 in the performance of this Contract. 34.6 The Contractor shall undertake, or refrain from undertaking, such acts as the Authority requests so as to enable the Authority to comply with its obligations under the Human Rights Xxx 0000. 34.7 Subject to clause 27 (Liability, Indemnity and Insurance), the Contractor agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified the Authority against all loss, costs, proceedings or damages whatsoever arising out of or in connection with any breach by the Contractor of its obligations under clause 34.
DISCRIMINATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS. 28.1 The Provider shall not discriminate unlawfully within the meaning and scope of any law, enactment, order, regulation or other similar instrument relating to discrimination (whether in relation to race, gender, disability, religion, age or otherwise) in employment. The Provider shall take all reasonable steps to ensure the observance of the provisions of this Condition by all members of the Provider’s personnel and by all sub-contractors of the Provider. 28.2 The Provider acknowledges that in relation to the work carried out pursuant to this Agreement it is subject to the Human Rights Xxx 0000 (“the Act”). The Provider agrees it will: at all times act in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Act in relation to matters within the scope of this Agreement; take such action as the Authority may reasonably require for the purpose of ensuring compliance with such requirements of the Act.
DISCRIMINATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS. 17.1 The Service Provider shall ensure that it complies with all current employment legislation and in particular, does not unlawfully discriminate within the meaning of the Race Relations Act 1976 (as amended), the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (as amended), the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (as amended), the Equality Act 2006, the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003, the Employment Equality (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2003, the Employment Equality (Sex Discrimination) Regulations 2005, the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006, or any other relevant or future legislation relating to discrimination in the employment of employees for the purpose of providing the Services.‌ 17.2 The Service Provider shall take all reasonable steps to comply with any of its duties, and will ensure that it provides sufficient information to the Purchaser to enable the Purchaser to comply with any of its duties, under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (as amended by the Equality Act 2006), the Race Relations Act 1976 (as amended by the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000) and the Disability Discrimination Act 2005 or any other relevant legislation or future legislation which supersedes this legislation and imposes any other duties on public bodies relating to equality in the employment of employees for the purpose of providing the Services. 17.3 In the course of performing its obligations under this Contract the Service Provider shall comply with its obligations under the Human Rights Act 1998. 17.4 The Service Provider shall take all reasonable steps to secure the observance of the provisions contained in Clauses 17.1 to 19.3 by all Staff.

DISCRIMINATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS. The University and the Hospital are committed to human rights and shall comply with the Human Rights Code (Ontario) and other applicable rights and equity legislation. The parties will remain committed to the principle of fair and equitable treatment for all. The parties are committed to having an environment free of prohibited discrimination and harassment. Each party will adopt their own appropriate policies with respect to discrimination and harassment and will have guidelines as to how it will deal with allegations of prohibited physical and verbal harassment and sexual harassment. In the cases of allegations of sexual harassment, the parties agree to follow the Sexual Harassment Protocol: Sexual Harassment Complaints involving Faculty and Students of the University of Toronto arising in University-Affiliated Health Institutions (attached as Schedule 5) for determining which sexual harassment policy applies and whether the University or the Hospital is responsible for dealing with a complaint.

  • Discrimination and Harassment All members of the Appointments Committee shall be given access to information about the content and application of relevant federal and provincial legislation, ad about University policies, relating to employment equity and federal immigration requirements. In accord with the provisions of the Article Employment Equity, Members shall familiarize themselves with such information as a condition of serving on the Appointments Committee. Furthermore, the Employer shall ensure that the Committee is aware of the relevant legislation and University policies, and the Chief Librarian or Xxxx and the Members participating in the work of the Committee shall share responsibility for ensuring that the relevant legislation and University policies are followed throughout the deliberations of the Committee. The Committee may call upon the Human Rights Office for assistance.

  • Discrimination 23.1 The Contractor shall not unlawfully discriminate within the meaning and scope of any law, enactment, order, or regulation relating to discrimination (whether in race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation or otherwise) in employment. 23.2 The Contractor shall take all reasonable steps to secure the observance of Clause 23.1 by all servants, employees or agents of the Contractor and all suppliers and sub-contractors employed in the execution of the Contract.
