6.3 The Recipient shall make reasonable efforts to ensure that the release of associated genetic knowledge through online media, print media or delivery upon request will be organized such that users are bound not to use the associated genetic knowledge taken from the portals for proprietary purposes unless they have obtained prior informed consent of the Provider.
6.4 Paragraphs 1-3 of this article do not apply to associated genetic knowledge used for proprietary purposes specified under articles 4.3 and 4.4.
6.5 The Recipient shall make reasonable efforts to ensure that the users of knowledge accessed from the Micro B3 Information System provide to the System the knowledge from their own research in such form and format as the System will reasonably require in order to promote the objectives of the utilization for the public domain.

(a) Faculty members have an obligation to develop and maintain their scholarly competence and effectiveness as teachers within their area of expertise, to conscientiously prepare and organize their subject matter and to revise that subject matter on a regular basis as appropriate for that subject. They shall inform their students of the methods of instruction and evaluation in their courses, giving due regard to any applicable Brescia or Western University Senate regulations in these matters.
(b) There shall be a consultation between faculty and their Chairs/Coordinators on the assignment of teaching duties. Such assignment of teaching duties will be recommended to the Academic Xxxx for approval. Once that has been done, the Academic Xxxx can assign teaching duties other than those recommended by the Division Chair. Once such duties have been assigned by the Academic Xxxx in accordance with Article 20, it is the responsibility of faculty members to teach the assigned courses, and at a time and place designated or approved by appropriate University authorities and in a manner which reflects the description in the Calendar, or as approved at the appropriate level. Faculty members shall be available regularly for individual consultation with their students beyond class or laboratory hours and shall inform their students, and upon written request the Academic Xxxx, of such arrangements.
(c) Faculty members shall comply with formally approved and published procedures and deadlines concerning the reporting and reviewing of the grades of their students, and such other formally approved and published procedures and deadlines as may be reasonable and necessary for the well-ordered operation of the teaching programs of the University. For the purposes of 10.4(c) only, publication means that the procedures and deadlines have been included in a current University Calendar, or circulated to each faculty member. Faculty members shall accept reasonable responsibility for being accessible to students for informal, ad hoc academic counselling during regularly scheduled office hours or at other times as appropriate, supervision of examinations, and other related activities as may be necessary and reasonable and which are not in conflict with this Collective Agreement....

Specifications if deemed necessary: 9 NOTE OF CAUTION: The Parties should be aware that too heavy PIC requirements could significantly complicate the research and development process during the non-commercial stage considered in this contract (defined as public domain). A facilitated PIC procedure for non-commercial use (public domain uses) as proposed here would also be to the advantage of the Provider country because this allows the Recipient to transfer GR or knowledge during the non–commercial stages more easily and this might lead to increased commercial product development in later stages, in which a new negotiation with the Provider country is initiated according to the renegotiation clause in Art. 4.4.

Dissemination of Knowledge. A. Teaching Faculty The dissemination of knowledge includes undergraduate and graduate teaching as well as research and in certain instances, community or clinical service. Employees are expected:
(a) to develop and maintain scholarly competence and effectiveness as teachers within their discipline;
(b) to prepare and organize their subject matter and revise that subject matter as appropriate;
(c) to be available for the academic counseling and supervision of students, the supervision of examinations, and other related activities as may be deemed necessary by the Parties to this Agreement;
(d) to contribute to the delivery of academic programs;
(e) to supervise students’ research and practical work and assist in thesis supervision as well as to participate in the evaluation of students’ research and theses, consistent with Article 17.34 of this Agreement;
(f) to make recommendations to the Head of the Department or Director of the School to delegate whenever necessary lecturing duties in their courses to others (it is agreed that others may include graduate students, teaching assistants, or visiting academics, or part-time instructors or professional experts);
(g) to conduct their classes within the relevant academic regulations as agreed to by the Parties to this Agreement and maintain an orderly and productive academic environment;
(h) to meet each class personally (with the exception of discussion groups and situations indicated in 5.31 (e)) and to be present for the full classroom period;
(i) to inform students of the methods of instruction and evaluation in their courses at the beginning of each term and abide by Senate regulations in these matters. The Head or Director, as the case may be, shall be provided with copies of such information, within two weeks of the commencement of the course, including distance education courses;
(j) to comply with all procedures and deadlines approved by the Senate concerning the reporting and reviewing of the grades of their students and such other formally approved and published procedures and deadlines as may be necessary for the well ordered operation of the teaching programs of the University which are agreed upon by the signatories to this Agreement;
(k) to complete their duties as examiners within seven days of each examination, unless prior arrangement is made with the department and registrar;
(l) to cancel instruction only for good cause and to notify the Head or Director if such cancellation is necessary. I...
Dissemination of Knowledge. The dissemination process is made under the responsibility of the owner, and in respect of the IPR provisions of the Model Contract (Annex II Part B). However, dissemination process cannot start until either the knowledge is protected or there is an assurance that dissemination will not affect the protection of the results. Dissemination of Knowledge research findings
Dissemination of Knowledge. 1. Participants shall be required to disseminate, or cause to be disseminated, knowledge which they own and which lends itself to dissemination .
2. The participants shall agree with the Commission on the terms of the dissemination of the knowledge within a reasonable time-limit, in accordance with the need to safeguard intellectual and industrial property rights, confidentiality, and their legitimate interests.
Article 13 - Publicity and communications concerning the project and knowledge
1. Taking into account their legitimate interests, participants shall, throughout the duration of the project, take appropriate measures to ensure suitable publicity for the project in order to highlight the support provided by the Community. The Commission may agree on such measures with the contractors.
2. The Commission may disseminate, by any appropriate means and for as long as necessary, general data relating in particular to the objectives, the estimated total cost, the duration and the state of progress of the project, to the Community’s financial contribution and to the knowledge resulting therefrom. The legal designation of participants and the names of the laboratories carrying out the work shall also be published unless they object to this in advance, in good time, on the grounds of overriding legitimate interests. Where the measures referred to in the first subparagraph presuppose access by the Commission or its duly authorised representatives to the premises of participants, the latter may refuse such access on the grounds of legitimate interests. On request and where he is free to do so, each participant shall grant the Commission an irrevocable, non-exclusive right, on a royalty-free basis, to translate, reproduce and distribute articles for scientific and technical journals, conference papers and other documents drawn up in the framework of the project and published by the participant.
3. Any communication or publication, whatever the form or medium (including the Internet), concerning the state of progress of the project or concerning the knowledge: - shall mention the relevant specific programme and the support provided by the Community, and - shall, where it is made by the participant, state that the author is solely responsible for it and that it does not represent the opinion of the Community, and that the Community is not responsible for any use that might be made of data appearing therein.
