Drug Testing Protocol. A drug testing protocol developed by the Xxxx Public Schools follows this section and is made a part hereof. THE UNDERSIGNED CERTIFIES THAT HE/SHE HAS RECEIVED A COPY OF THE ABOVE RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO EMPLOYEES REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A COMMERCIAL DRIVERS LICENSE. DATE: SIGNATURE: 1. This protocol applies to the Xxxx Public Schools request for submission of urine and breath specimens as required by the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991 involving Drug & Alcohol testing for Commercial Driver License (CDL) employees. 2. The Xxxx Public Schools shall be solely responsible for all costs incurred in conjunction with alcohol breath testing and reporting. The Xxxx Public Schools shall be solely responsible for costs in conjunction with screening and confirmation testing of urine for drug analysis. The employee will have the option of testing the “split sample” at the same/or a different laboratory. In the event the split sample testing results in a positive result, the Employee will be responsible for all costs associated with the testing of the split sample. By signing the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991 Rules and Regulations Applicable to Employees Required to obtain a CDL, the employee authorizes the deduction, if necessary, from his/her bi-weekly wages, the amount of such cost. In the event the split sample testing results in a negative result, the Employer will be responsible for all costs associated with the testing of the split sample. 3. The Xxxx Public Schools shall insure that all alcohol and drug tests that are conducted are in compliance with all the requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT). The Xxxx Public Schools shall have the responsibility for selecting an agency that will properly conduct the drug test and furnish reliable results. The agency selected must also provide the ancillary services needed, including specimen retention of “positive” samples for five (5) years. The laboratory shall have the capability of timely providing hard copy reports of specimen analysis results. The Xxxx Public Schools shall have the responsibility for selecting an agency that will properly conduct the alcohol breath test. This agency will utilize Breath Alcohol Technicians (BAT) and will use Evidential Breath Devices (EVT) for both screening and confirmation tests. The confirmation test will produce three

Drug Testing Protocol. Participation in a random drug-testing program is based on the premise that the specimen collection process meets the highest professional standards to ensure accurate collection, accurate testing, and accurate reporting of results. Accordingly, the federal regulations for procedures for transportation workplace drug testing program (49 CFR Subtitle A, Part 40) shall be followed. These regulations deal with chain of custody procedures, analytical testing procedures, cutoff limits, medical review officer duties, privacy provisions, and the confirmation of positive test results.
Drug Testing Protocol. The Employer will adopt the current ”Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Programs,” as amended, issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (the “HHS Drug Guidelines”) as the protocol for drug testing under this Article.

MSA will utilize the DOT “split samplecollection method. As a general rule, HRP individuals will perform their drug test at the same time as their alcohol test to help minimize the number of work interruptions.
Drug Testing Protocol. The Xxxxxx County Sheriff’s Office Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy ensures that all testing will be accomplished as non-intrusively as possible, given the circumstances. All Unit Employees, except in the case of non-ambulatory employees such as in Post Accident Testing, will be transported by a member of the Office of Professional Standards, or designee, to the designated Collection Site for testing. Testing for drugs may be completed by either urinalysis, hair specimen, saliva specimen or blood specimen. The method of testing shall be determined by the Sheriff and is not an option for the Unit Employee. This Policy has been written and designed to protect, not only the County of Xxxxxx and its citizens, but also each and every member of the Xxxxxx County Sheriff’s Office.   • Drug Testing (A) The state and the PBA agree to drug testing of employees in accordance with section 112.0455, F.S., the Drug-Free Workplace Act. (B) All classes covered by this Agreement are designated special risk classes for drug testing purposes. Special risk means employees who are required as a condition of employment to be certified under Chapter 633 or Chapter 943, F.S. (C) An employee shall have the right to grieve any disciplinary action taken under section 112.0455, the Drug-Free Workplace Act, subject to the limitations on the grievability of disciplinary actions in Article 10. If an employee is not disciplined but is denied a demotion, reassignment, or promotion as a result of a positive confirmed drug test, the employee shall have the right to grieve such action in accordance with Article 6.

  • Random Testing Notwithstanding any provisions of the Collective Agreement or any special agreements appended thereto, section 4.6 of the Canadian Model will not be applied by agreement. If applied to a worker dispatched by the Union, it will be applied or deemed to be applied unilaterally by the Employer. The Union retains the right to grieve the legality of any imposition of random testing in accordance with the Grievance Procedure set out in this Collective Agreement.

  • Human Leukocyte Antigen Testing This plan covers human leukocyte antigen testing for A, B, and DR antigens once per member per lifetime to establish a member’s bone marrow transplantation donor suitability in accordance with R.I. General Law §27-20-36. The testing must be performed in a facility that is: • accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks or its successors; and • licensed under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act as it may be amended from time to time. At the time of testing, the person being tested must complete and sign an informed consent form that also authorizes the results of the test to be used for participation in the National Marrow Donor program.
