E xtra Duty. 8.7.1 Unit members who volunteer for extra-duty assignment shall be obligated to complete that assignment for the entire year or season unless prevented from doing so because of illness, injury or approved leaves of absence.

E xtra Duty. The District shall post and email to all employee’s school email address notice of any opening which occurs within the Xxx Xxxx Xxxxxxxx #000. Openings shall be emailed and posted in the staff lounge of both attendance centers and in the Bus Garage for a minimum of five (5) business days prior to filling such opening. The salary for any new positions will be negotiated. All members of the bargaining unit who apply for the position shall be considered and the most qualified person shall be selected. If qualifications are equal, the most senior person will be selected. Administration will determine whether an applicant is qualified for each position. In addition to interscholastic coaching and choir stipends, the Board will pay up to $30,000 each fiscal year, to members of the collective bargaining agreement who sponsor and lead student activities. In the spring of each year, staff may submit proposals for the next year’s student activities. A committee of Administration and Association members will consider all submitted proposals and make a collaborative determination on activities to be offered. Staff who sponsor student activities will complete a timesheet for all contact hours with students and be paid at a rate of $34.00 per hour. The committee will also determine minimum and maximum student participation for each activity as well as fees, if any, to be paid by activity participants. Staff will be encouraged to submit proposals until all funds have been used. The Board will pay up to $65,000 each fiscal year to members of the collective bargaining agreement who fulfill hourly duties/assignments which contribute to the betterment of the District. The Administration and Association will work collaboratively to determine the allocation of these funds. These opportunities will be posted and emailed to all Association members. The pay rate for this work will be $34.00 per hour. Prior to the end of each school year, funds remaining in this budget will be offered to staff for completion of curriculum work with the approval of the Superintendent. Stipends will be applied for in the spring of each year for the next school year. E xtra Duty. Should special duties or functions arise that are not otherwise covered by an employee's job description, the Sheriff may assign the extra duty to any employee qualified to perform the functions. The Sheriff, prior to the assignments, shall establish a compensation level for the extra duty commensurate with the performance required. Hours spent outside the normal shift performing the extra duty shall not be considered as overtime, unless so required by the Fair Labor Standards Act or this Agreement. In the event that the compensation level is less than the employee's regular rate of pay, then the employee may refuse the extra duty assignment.

  • Extra Duty A. All extra duty vacancies listed in Article 29 (except as provided in 7-8-C) shall be filled by MBUs, providing they meet the following criteria.

  • Civic Duty Whenever an employee is served with a subpoena by a court of competent jurisdiction which compels his/her presence as a witness during his/her normal working period, unless he/she is a party to the litigation or an expert witness, such employee shall be granted time off with pay in the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and any amount he/she receives for such appearance. This Article is not applicable to appearances for which the employee receives compensation in excess of his/her regular earnings.   • Off Duty day - Except where the provisions of 10.3.1 apply, if a public holiday, other than Waitangi Day and ANZAC Day, falls on a rostered employee's off duty day (such off duty day not being a Saturday or a Sunday) the employee shall be granted an additional day's leave at a later date convenient to the Employer.

  • Active Duty An employee who enlists or is called into active duty for the military service of the United States or who, in time of national emergency, voluntarily enlists for active duty, shall be granted military leave for the time necessary to permit completion of the military service.   • Court Duty Section 1. After due notice to the EMPLOYER, employees subpoenaed to serve as a witness in cases arising from or during the performance of their official duties, or called and selected for jury duty, shall be allowed their regular compensation at their current base pay rate for the period the court duty requires their absence from work duty, plus any expenses paid by the court. Such employees, so compensated, shall not be eligible to retain jury duty pay or witness fees and shall turn any such pay or fees received over to the EMPLOYER. If an employee is excused from jury duty prior to the end of his/her work shift, he/she shall return to work as directed by the EMPLOYER or make arrangement for a leave of absence.

  • Light Duty Where the injured employee's treating physician authorized by the County recommends light-duty assignment, it will be the responsibility of the appointing authority to arrange suitable light duty. Department of Human Resources may provide staff technical assistance to find a suitable light-duty assignment, one which accommodates the particular restrictions provided by the treating physician.

  • Night Duty 222. Employees shall be paid eight percent (8%) more than the base rate for each hour worked between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. if the employee works at least one (1) hour of his/her shift between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., except for those employees participating in an authorized flex-time program and who voluntarily work between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

  • Alternate Duty (A) Where an employee is eligible for disability leave with pay under Rules of the State Personnel System as a result of an injury in the line of duty, and is temporarily unable to perform his normal work duties, the Agency Head or designee shall give due consideration to any request by the employee to be temporarily assigned substitute duties within the employee’s medical restrictions. This shall have no effect on the agency’s ability to make a different assignment based upon current medical opinion.

  • Stamp Duty 34. The State shall exempt the following instruments from any stamp duty which, but for the operation of this clause, would or might be assessed as chargeable on them:

  • On Duty Employees subpoenaed for a DMV Telephonic Hearing scheduled during the employee’s working hours shall utilize a Department telephone at the appointed time.
