Educational and Training Assistance. The Municipality offers, as part of its employee development program, educational and training assistance payment for certain college courses and other training opportunities of benefit to the organization. Guidelines for participation and administration of educational and tuition assistance shall be established through the MOA policies and procedures.

Educational and Training Assistance. The Municipality offers, as part of its Employee Development Program, Educational and Training Assistance payment for certain college courses and other training opportunities of benefit to the organization. Guidelines for participation and administration of educational and tuition assistance shall be established through the Mayor's Policies, Procedures, and applicable Personnel Rules.
Educational and Training Assistance. 3.7.1 In the event an employee desires to take course work or technical training considered to be of benefit to the Municipality, consideration shall be given toward payment of up to 100% of the tuition expense. In order to receive tuition refund consideration, the employee needs to obtain the written concurrence of his Utility Manager/Department Director and the Director of Employee Relations that successful completion of the proposed training will be of mutual benefit to both the Municipality and the employee involved. The approval will include a stipulation that the employee will repay the cost of the training to the Municipality if he does not satisfactorily complete the training and shall not take advantage of any other publicly funded educational assistance programs during the course of study. This concurrence shall be obtained in each case before beginning the pertinent training. The employee also shall sign an agreement that the refund will be returned to the Municipality in the event of separation from Municipal employment within twelve (12) months from date of completion of training. The Municipality shall pay direct xxxxxxxx from institutions offering courses applicable to municipal employment as set up by a direct payment authorization letter from the Director of Employee Relations. Upon successful completion of the training involved, the employee shall furnish his Utility Manager/Department Director and the Director of Employee Relations evidence of successful completion and the amount of charges. Upon approval of the Director of Employee Relations, a refund will be made from funds available in the appropriate agency's budget in those instances where direct payment was not arranged by the Municipality. 3.7.2 An employee wishing to participate in correspondence courses under this program must obtain the prior approval of the Utility Manager/Department Director and refund requests for approved courses must be submitted to the Director of Employee Relations for approval. The Director of Employee Relations shall determine the accreditation of the correspondence school.

  • Educational Assistance Section 1. Tuition reimbursement shall be provided to employees covered by this collective bargaining AGREEMENT under the same terms and conditions, policies and procedures as the rest of Hennepin County and reflecting a county–wide pool for funding. Where courses are required and certified by the appointing authority as essential to current job performance, such appointing authority shall grant 100% reimbursement for tuition, required fees and required study materials. Section 3. At the request of an employee, an Individual Development Plan shall be established. Any employee making the request shall be provided with paid time to work with their Supervisor or Human Resources to develop a training plan for career development within Hennepin County. Human Resources will be a source of career information, and postings, in which the employee may have an interest. Time allotted for this activity and the training plan adopted shall be subject to mutual agreement of the Employee and Supervisor.

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • Professional Development and Training The Company shall pay for or reimburse the Executive for any reasonable professional development or training.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • Technical Assistance DFPS may provide informal support, guidance, clarification, and other forms of technical assistance via phone, email, and virtual meeting to resolve Grant or performance compliance issues. Grantee will document all such instances of technical assistance by DFPS in writing, including any implementation work.

  • Job Training ‌ The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes: (1) for planning training programs for those employees affected by technological change; (2) for planning training programs to enable employees to qualify for new positions being planned through future expansion or renovation; (3) for planning training programs for those employees affected by new methods of operation; (4) for planning training programs in the area of general skill upgrading. Whenever necessary, this Committee shall seek the assistance of external training resources such as the Federal Human Resources Development Canada and Provincial Ministry of Labour, or other recognized training institutions.

  • Legal Assistance The Board shall give full support including legal and other assistance for any assault upon the employee while properly acting in the discharge of his/her duties.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Staff Training 3.3.5.1 The CONTRACTOR shall provide regular and ongoing comprehensive training for CONTRACTOR staff to ensure that they understand the goals of Centennial Care 2.0, including the integration of physical, Long-Term Care and Behavioral Health, the provisions and limitations of the ABP and the requirements of this Agreement. As issues are identified by the CONTRACTOR and/or HSD, the CONTRACTOR shall provide timely and targeted training to staff. 3.3.5.2 The CONTRACTOR shall provide an initial orientation and training as well as ongoing training, including training targeted to different types of staff, to ensure compliance with this Agreement. Including targeted training regarding: 3.3.5.2.1 Care Coordination; 3.3.5.2.2 Nursing Facility Level of Care Determinations; 3.3.5.2.3 Setting of Care Submissions; 3.3.5.2.4 Community Benefit Services and Supplemental Questionnaire; and
