EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE a. The purpose of the Employee-Management Committee is to provide a process and a means whereby the employer and the Association can work constructively together for the general welfare and improvement of the School District.
b. The Superintendent and the Association President, and/or their designees, agree to meet at least monthly, unless otherwise agreed to by the parties.
c. Whenever possible, the Superintendent and the Association President will meet two (2) days in advance of each Board meeting to give the Association an opportunity to discuss Board agenda items in advance of the monthly Board meeting.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. (a) There shall be an Employee/Management Committee comprised of two representatives of the Employer, one of whom shall be the Director, Resident Care or her or his designee, and up to two representatives of the Union.
(b) The Committee shall meet every two (2) months unless otherwise agreed and as required. The duties of Chairperson and secretary shall alternate between the parties. Where possible, agenda items will be exchanged in writing at least five (5) calendar days prior to the meeting. A record shall be maintained of matters referred to the Committee and the recommended disposition, if any. Copies of the record shall be provided to Committee members.
(c) The purpose of the Committee includes:
i) promoting and providing effective and meaningful communication of information and ideas; making joint recommendations on matters of concern;
ii) discussing and reviewing matters relating to orientation and in- service programs.
(d) The Employer agrees to pay for time spent during regular working hours for representatives of the Union attending such meetings.
(e) The Employee/Management Committees may meet jointly on matters of mutual concern.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. 7.01 In the spirit of both parties maintaining efficient and harmonious relationships, both parties will form an Employee-Management Committee (EMAC).
7.02 The Employee-Management Committee shall meet to discuss and, if possible, provide understanding of points of mutual interest between the Retirement Residence and the Union. Such meetings shall be held on a quarterly basis or as agreed to by the parties.
7.03 The Employee-Management Committee shall not have jurisdiction over any matter contained in the Collective Agreement, including its administration or negotiation.
7.04 Where there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at an Employee-Management Committee meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply:
(a) An equal number of representatives from each party as mutually agreed upon shall meet at a time and place that is mutually satisfactory. A request for such meeting will be made in writing at least two (2) weeks prior to the date proposed and accompanied by an agenda of matters proposed to be discussed, which shall not be matters that are properly the subject of a grievance or matters that are properly the subject of negotiations for the amendment or renewal of the Collective Agreement.
(b) A Union Representative has the right to attend Employee-Management Committee meetings.
(c) An Employee shall not suffer any loss of pay for attending for attending Employee-Management Committee meeting(s).
7.05 Minutes of each meeting will be kept. The minutes shall be subject to approval by both parties and upon approval by both parties, the approved minutes shall be posted on the Union bulletin board.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. Section 21.1. The Employee Organization will certify to the Sheriff the names of those members, not to exceed three (3) in number, who will represent the Employee Organization during Employee-Management Committee meetings.
Section 21.2. Regular meetings of the Employee-Management Committee shall be held at least once each three (3) months, at a mutually convenient time. Emergency meetings may be called by mutual agreement. If held during working hours, employees will be paid for the time falling within their regularly scheduled work period. Each party shall submit a written agenda to the other not less than two (2) working days prior to each meeting. All Employee-Management Committee meetings will be held for the purpose of discussing and resolving matters pertaining to the administration of this agreement, related personnel matters, or matters of mutual concern.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. 6.01 A Joint Employee-Employer Committee shall be established. The purpose of the Joint Committee is to promote and to provide for effective and meaningful communications of information and ideas and to make recommendations on matters of mutual concern. Matters may be referred to the Committee by Employees or the Employer. Participants should do so in a constructive and professional manner, and should be able to do so without negative repercussions.
6.02 There shall be no loss of income for time spent by Employees at meetings and in carrying out the functions of this committee.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.
Section 1. There shall be an Employee/Management Committee consisting of the following Employee/Management Representatives:
A. Two representatives as appointed by the Union President; and
B. Two representatives as appointed by the City.
Section 2. Meetings of this Committee shall be held as needed, however, not more than once every month and shall be scheduled at the request of either party upon ten (10) days’ notice. The party requesting such a meeting shall forward to the designated representative of the other party an agenda specifying those questions/issues to be presented for discussion. The time, place and duration of discussion shall be determined by the City.
Section 3. The sole function of the Employee/Management Committee shall be to discuss general matters pertaining to employee relations. The Committee shall not engage in collective bargaining or the resolution of grievances.
Section 4. Committee members of the Bargaining Unit shall be paid by the City to participate in Employee/Management meetings which will be scheduled during on-duty hours.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. 10.01 The parties agree that consultation and communication on matters of joint interest are desirable to promote good constructive and harmonious relations; accordingly, the parties agree that there shall be an Employee-Management committee. The Committee shall meet at the request of either party at a time and place mutually agreed upon by both parties.
10.02 The respective committee shall be comprised of not more than four (4) representatives from each of the Bargaining Unit and the Board.
10.03 While the committee shall consider and attempt to resolve problems of mutual concern, it is understood that the committee shall function in an advisory capacity only and shall have no power to alter, amend, add to, or modify the terms of the Collective Agreement.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The Employee/Management Committee will be convened in the first month of the contract year.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. There shall be a Union/Management Committee comprised of two (2) Employee representatives appointed by the Union and two (2) employer representatives. The Committee's purpose is to provide and promote effective and meaningful communication of information and ideas and to make joint recommendations on matters of concern. Matters that are properly the subject of an individual grievance will not be discussed at this committee. It is further agreed that the Labour Relations Officer may attend meetings held between the LHIN and the Union with prior notice to the Employer. The Committee will meet quarterly, unless agreed otherwise, at a time and place mutually agreed to provided there is business for their joint consideration. The parties will exchange agenda items at least one (1) week prior to the meeting. The parties further agree the Committee may meet at any time its members mutually agree a meeting should be held. The duties of the Chairperson will be shared by the parties. Copies of the minutes shall be provided to Committee members. The Employer agrees to pay for time spent during regular working hours for representatives of the Union attending such meetings. The parties may utilize video or teleconferencing services for the purposes of committee members attending committee meetings, where appropriate and available. Neither party can unreasonably deny an initiative to utilize video or teleconferencing services.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. 22.01 The Parties to this Collective Agreement agree to establish an Employee- Management Advisory Committee(s) or the equivalent for promoting harmonious relationships and discussing topics of mutual concern between the Employees and the Employer.
22.02 There shall be no loss of income for time spent by Employees at meetings.
