Elements of Total Compensation. TVA and the OPEIU agree that the actual employer cost of all employer-contributed elements of total compensation for OPEIU-represented employees (including the cost of benefits for spouses and dependents of employees) shall be considered in any determination of salary or other elements of compensation. These elements are: • base wages and salary, lump-sum payments • compensation for possession of work- related licenses and certifications • overtime • shift differentialpremium pay • amount and method of pay progression within a range • merit paybonuses and incentives • gainsharing payments/profit-sharing • accidental death and dismemberment insurancedental insurancevision care • any other insuranceannual leave/vacation • administrative leave as defined by TVA policy • holidays • sick leavemilitary leavebereavement leave • FICA payments • retirement benefits • matching contributions to 401K • long-term disability insurance • short-term disability insurance • life insurancemedical insurance, including drugs • meals or meal allowancesclothing allowanceslongevity pay which is above the range • other paid leave • child and eldercare contributions • parking • on-call/standby pay

  • Final Compensation Final Compensation for an employee, who is employed by the State for the first time and becomes a member of CalPERS prior to January 15, 2011, is based on the highest average monthly pay rate during twelve (12) consecutive months of employment. Final Compensation for an employee, who is employed by the State for the first time and becomes a member of CalPERS on or after January 15, 2011, is based on the highest average monthly pay rate during thirty-six (36) consecutive months of employment.
