Eligibility and Application. Only Students of the Georgia Institute of Technology who are enrolled Full-Time shall be eligible for a housing space. Any Student who withdraws or is involuntarily removed from school shall no longer be eligible for housing effective immediately upon withdrawal or removal and must move-out within forty-eight (48) hours after withdrawal. Exceptions to these criteria may be made at the discretion of the Executive Director of Department or their designee and will be in writing. If admission to Georgia Institute of Technology is denied or revoked, it is the responsibility of the Student to notify Department in writing within ten (10) days of receipt of denial from Georgia Institute of Technology and ensure that their housing assignment is cancelled to avoid further financial penalties. The Student is responsible for providing all necessary documentation. Enrollment verification is performed monthly. A Student who does not meet Full-Time status during Contract period is required to submit an Full-Time Enrollment Exception Request form. Domestic Partnerships must be verified and approved by the Office of The Xxxx of Students. The Student is not required to attend classes for the Summer Semester. "A married or single parent and their minor child(xxx), including xxxxxx child(xxx) and wards must jointly occupy the apartment at least 25 days per month. Only minor child(ren), including xxxxxx child(ren) and wards may reside in the apartment with the parent(s). Families with three or four members will be assigned a two bedroom apartment. No more than four persons may reside in a two-bedroom apartment. Proof of legal guardianship must be submitted to the Graduate and Family Housing Office prior to the arrival of these child(ren). Eligibility and Application. Students wishing to live in University housing shall complete a housing application and submit the appropriate housing pre-payment. The contract becomes effective and binding upon submission of the application materials accompanied by the appropriate housing pre-payment: $300 dollars for all residential housing. Upon admission to the University, acceptance of the application by the University, and pre-payment, the University agrees to reserve a space in University housing until the second day of the academic period. If arrangements for late arrival are not made with the Residential Life Office, the space will be considered vacant and may be assigned to another student. If the space is assigned and no other space is available, the housing pre-payment will be refunded. A submitted housing application does not guarantee admission to the University. Admission to the University is a separate process and an application must be submitted directly with the Admissions Office. Canceling your admission to Maryville University does not cancel your housing contract. Request to cancel your housing contract must be sent in writing (email) directly to the Residential Life Office. (See Section III and Section IV for additional information about cancellation.) All residential students must maintain a full course load of twelve (12) credits for undergraduate students or six (6) credits for graduate students. Taking less than full-time credits for the semester is not an approved reason to cancel the housing contract. The housing contract is for the entire academic year. Requests for exceptions to full-time status must be submitted in advance and in writing to the Director of Residential Life. See Section II for additional eligibility requirements. Maryville University reserves the right and privilege to refuse any housing contract. The University is unable to accommodate housing requests from families, faculty, or staff members.
