Emergency On Call. 16.12.1 Where an Employee not listed on the on call Register but due to operational reasons is required to be on call, the on call provisions shall apply to the Employee. 16.12.2 The recall to duty provisions stipulated in clause 16.8 shall not apply to an Employee who is required to be on call under clause 16.12 above.

Emergency On Call. In the case where an employee not listed on the On Call Register is required to be on call then the on call provisions shall apply to that employee. This does not include recall to work. The call out employee for each call out received will be required to record relevant details of that call and action taken. These details shall be recorded on a form provided and shall be captured in Council’s Electronic Document Records Management System.
Emergency On Call. On Call will be assigned to all Fire and Security bargaining unit members (with the exception of Level 1), who will be responsible to cover outstanding calls from the service office and emergency service from Friday at 8:00 a.m. through to the following Friday at 8:00 a.m., inclusive of weekends and holidays. Statutory holiday coverage will be shared equally by all qualified bargaining unit members. Technicians on call may mutually agree to exchange on call rotations with other qualified technicians, provided coverage is maintained. Technicians may relinquish on call rotations (full or partial) provided they secure another qualified service representative to perform the on call rotations. Technicians may accept up to a maximum of one (1) additional full on call rotations relinquished by another technician per month, provided on call rotations do not fall consecutively in the same week. On call schedules will be done for the calendar year on a best efforts basis. The on call schedule will be posted and sent to the Xxxxxxx by December 15th of the prior calendar year. If there is a change in the on call schedule, the Technician is required to notify the Supervisor and/or the Coordinator. In order to provide emergency service to customers outside of normal business hours, on call will be implemented as follows: (a) Bargaining unit members will be available for on call at their residence and carry a working cell phone with them during the hours of emergency on call. (b) All hours worked will be calculated from the time of departure from the bargaining unit member's residence until time of return to residence (based on the Waterloo service area). (c) Bargaining unit members called out to site to work will receive a minimum of three (3) hours pay as follows:

  • Emergency Overtime In the event of an emergency as defined in Section 13.15 notwithstanding the terms of this Article, the Agency Head or designee may assign someone to temporarily meet the emergency requirements, regardless of the overtime distribution.
