Emergency School Closure and Delayed Opening. In the event that it becomes necessary to close the school(s) because of inclement weather, volcanic disruption or other acts of God, the District administration shall notify employees as soon as the decision is made. No employee shall be required to remain after the District has given notification to close the employees' work site, unless an alternative work site is available. Hazardous health and safety conditions which require the closing of the school(s) for students shall apply equally to all employees.

If makeup days are required, the district and the association will mutually agree upon the dates. No employee will be subjected to loss of pay or benefits due to non-attendance on days when schools have been closed for emergency reasons.
