Employment Screening Process: Employment Standards. Upon completion of the employment screening process and an offer acceptance from the candidate, UDT schedules the employee’s orientation briefing to occur on Day 1 of employment. In this orientation briefing, our staff review and accept the non-disclosure agreement(s), confidentiality agreement(s), and UDT’s employee handbook. This handbook contains our code of ethics, procedures, and policies. Upon completion of these activities, UDT reviews all contractual requirements and work orders to be performed by the employee. As updates are made to the employee handbook, they are provided to the employee in team meetings or one-on-one reviews. We also review new work orders as they are received to ensure the employee has a full understanding of their job and tasks.

  • EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS There are no material complaints against the Corporation or the Subsidiaries before any employment standards branch or tribunal or human rights tribunal, nor any complaints or any occurrence which would reasonably be expected to lead to a complaint under any human rights legislation or employment standards legislation that would be material to the Corporation. There are no outstanding decisions or settlements or pending settlements under applicable employment standards legislation which place any material obligation upon the Corporation or the Subsidiaries to do or refrain from doing any act. The Corporation and Subsidiaries are currently in material compliance with all workers’ compensation, occupational health and safety and similar legislation, including payment in full of all amounts owing thereunder, and there are no pending claims or outstanding orders of a material nature against either of them under applicable workers’ compensation legislation, occupational health and safety or similar legislation nor has any event occurred which may give rise to any such material claim.

  • EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS ACT LEAVES In accordance with the BC Employment Standards Act (the “Act”), the Employer will grant the following leaves:

  • NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS 9.1 It is the intention of this Agreement that the NES, as it may be varied from time to time, shall apply to the employees the subject of this Agreement.   • Re-employment List An employee who is reduced in position, or who is laid off by reason of a reduction in force accomplished pursuant to this Section, shall automatically have his/her name placed on a re- employment list for the position which he/she formerly held. Such re-employment lists shall have priority for a period of two (2) years over any other eligibility list for such affected position, providing, however, that employees not reinstated within six (6) months after being laid off must pass a pre-employment physical examination prior to reinstatement.

  • Employment File a) Documents communicating discipline and discharge will be maintained in the employee’s official employment file (normally 901 file).

  • Cyclic Employment Leave Leave without pay will be granted to cyclic year employees during their off season.

  • Supplemental Employment Benefit for Maternity and Parental Leave 8.5.1 Effective April 1, 2002, when on maternity or parental leave, an employee will receive a supplemental payment added to Employment Insurance benefits as follows:
