EMTs. The minimum staffing listed above is for wildland fire incidents and meets or exceeds the minimum standard for licensing in the state of Idaho. If an incident requests a specific license level for personnel, it will be documented on the Resource Order. If the ambulance crew exceeds work/rest guidelines while transporting a patient to a medical facility, the crew may seek lodging after delivering the patient to said facility. Cost for lodging shall be reimbursed by the incident but must be authorized in writing by the Incident Commander, their designee, or host agency. When ordered for 24-hour shift coverage, a second crew must be ordered to meet work/rest requirements.

EMTs. 1. Employees who hold an EMT certificate shall receive a two percent (2%) supplement calculated on their base pay.
EMTs. SECTION 1. Employees who have an Emergency Medical Technic ian (EMT) License or obtain an EMT License shall continue to maintain said license for the duration of their employment. In the event such employee feels he/she is unable to renew the license due to extenuating medical or personal reasons, he/she may petition the department for an exemption.
EMTs. Effective with the first full pay period after November 1, 2021, execution of this Agreement all active EMTs will move into the wage chart, based on their years of employment with the Company, as demonstrated in Appendix “A” of this Agreement, not to exceed the top- level rate of pay as indicated in Section 5.1 above. Through the termination date of this Agreement, effective with the first pay period following November 1, 2022, and November 1, 2023, EMTs shall progress one level in the wage matrix listed in Appendix A.
EMTs. The Chief of the Department or their designee shall establish when units are needed to be “In Service.” Vacancies occurring in the permanent promotional ranks shall be filled within thirty (30) days after an appropriate promotional exam is given and eligibility list is established. A representative from UNION offers input, in the form of communicating positive and negative criteria of a firefighter candidate to the Fire Department’s hiring committee, when hiring new Fire Department employees who are or will be covered by this Collective Bargaining Agreement. UNION representative observing in the Entry Level interview and provide a written positive and negative criteria to the Chief prior to the selection process.
EMTs. In order to provide a response to the community the EMT’s must continue to meet their KPI’s as previously set. EMT’s will continue to be paid on-call rate of 4.5% which is the remunerable amount for working not less than 1:6 (24 hour period) and not more than 1:3 (24 hour period). It is acknowledged that the current cohort and 1:6 agreement may leave one 24 hour period uncovered, should this be covered this does not attract a higher on-call rate. Better logging of shifts with GRS is required.
