Except that a. the minimum step payable to a registrar with MSc or equivalent shall be step 2 of the registrar scale.
b. the minimum step payable to a registrar with PhD or equivalent shall be step 3 of the registrar scale.
c. the minimum payable to an employee qualified as a medical physicist having obtained the ACPSEM accreditation or equivalent shall be step 1 of the medical physicist scale.
d. Progressing from the Registrar scale to that of Medical Physicist requires the employee to be recognised as qualified in medical physics having obtained the ACPSEM accreditation or equivalent.
Except that. (a) Nothing in this clause shall require an employee to be available to work in more than one skill set where agreement between the individual employee and employer to work in only one skill set exists.
(b) Employees who only work in plain film with no post graduate diploma (or equivalent) shall not receive two steps.
(c) Nothing in clause 5.1.4 shall apply to unit, area charge or charge MRTs.
Except that. (a) Nothing in this clause shall require an employee to be available to work in more than one skill set where agreement between the individual employee and employer to work in only one skill set exists.
(b) Employees who only work in plain film with no post graduate diploma (or equivalent) shall not receive the additional step.
Except that. Any Firefighter working shift work who is hired after January 1st in any calendar year shall receive the above described lieu days only for those statutory holidays which occur during their period of service in the calendar year in which they commence their employment.
Except that a. No post-hearing briefs will be filed, and
b. The arbitrator shall issue either a bench award or an award within forty-eight (48) hours of the close of the hearing accompanied by a short explanation of the basis for the award. The parties agree that the decision to participate or not participate in expedited arbitration shall not reflect adversely on either party. The parties further agree that neither party will unilaterally contact or request the services of an arbitrator for resolution of grievances through expedited arbitration.

(b) Employees who only work in General X-Ray with no post graduate diploma (or equivalent) shall not receive the additional steps.

Except that. (a) A rostered Employee required to work on a public holiday which would otherwise have been his/her normal day off, or is required to work any overtime, shall be paid at the overtime rate of twice his/her ordinary hourly rate of pay (T2) for the hours worked and in addition is to be granted an alternative holiday in accordance with the provisions of the Holidays Act 2003.
(b) Where any public holiday referred to in subclause (a) of this clause falls on the day of a worker's rostered day off, such worker in respect of that public holiday will be granted an alternative holiday in accordance with the provisions of the Holidays Act 2003.
(c) Where any public holiday referred to in clause 7.1 of. this clause falls on the day of a worker's annual holiday, such worker shall have his/her annual holiday extended by one working day on full pay in respect of that public holiday.
Except that. (1) any Group 1 employees who are hired after 1 January in any calendar year shall receive time equivalent to one (1) duty shift in lieu of each of the twelve

(1) any Group 1 employees who are hired after 1 January in any calendar year shall receive time equivalent to one (1) duty shift in lieu of each of the eleven (11) statutory holidays set forth in Article 6.3(b) which occur during their period of service in the calendar year in which they commence their employment and in addition thereto, such Group 1 employees shall receive time equivalent to one (1) duty shift in lieu of any other statutory holidays declared by the Corporation, the Government of the Province of British Columbia or the Government of Canada to which employees covered by this Collective Agreement are entitled and such holidays shall be taken immediately after [and without any time intervening] the annual vacations referred to in Article 6.1;
(2) any Group 1 employees who were hired prior to 1 January, 1975, and leave the service on superannuation or upon reaching maximum retirement age prior to 1 April in any calendar year shall receive time equivalent to five and one-half (5½) duty shifts in lieu of any statutory holidays to which they may have been otherwise entitled under this agreement and in addition thereto, such Group 1 employees shall receive time equivalent to one-half (½) of a duty shift in lieu of any other statutory holiday declared by the Corporation, the Government of the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada to which employees covered by this Collective Agreement are entitled and which occur during their period of service in the calendar year in which they retire;
(3) any Group 1 employees who were hired prior to 1 January, 1975 and leave the service on superannuation or upon reaching maximum retirement age on or after 1 April in any calendar year, shall receive time equivalent to eleven (11) duty shifts in lieu of any statutory holidays to which they may have been otherwise entitled under this Agreement, and in addition thereto, such Group 1 employees shall receive time equivalent to one (1) duty shift in lieu of any other statutory holiday declared by the Corporation, the Government of the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada to which employees covered by this Collective Agreement are entitled and which occur during their period of service in the calendar year in which they retire;
