Experienced Teachers. Experienced teachers new to the district will be notified of opportunities to participate in the teacher induction program.
Experienced Teachers. A Teacher shall be advised at the time he or she is offered appointment to the School whether he or she will be employed at Band 1, 2 or 3 and the salary applicable. Teachers who, prior to their appointment, were employed at a school covered by an industrial instrument that reflected years of service as defined in clause 7.4 or which did not contain the Experienced Teacher classification may have their Full-Time equivalent years of service assessed and then be classified according to the following table:
(i) Provisionally or Conditionally Accredited Teachers in NSW and Graduate or Provisionally Registered Teachers or Teachers who hold a permit to Teach in the ACT (who have not yet attained Proficient Teacher); or (ii) A Teacher who has completed less than 2 years of Full-Time equivalent service (who has not yet attained Proficient Teacher). Experienced Teachers. New to the School, but Not New to the District
Experienced Teachers. Experienced teachers entering the Northampton Public School System will be allowed full credit for previous teaching experience up to five (5) years, and teaching experience beyond the five years may be credited at the sole discretion of the Superintendent.
Experienced Teachers. (those who hold a teaching certificate or professional license) who are new to the District
a. Experienced teachers new to the District will be given release time up to a maximum of six (6) hours per school year to consult with his/her mentor.
b. This experienced teacher new to the District will spend three (3) hours with his/her mentor before the school year begins. This meeting date and time shall be mutually determined by the mentor and the mentee.
Experienced Teachers. Experienced teachers shall be granted experience credit for each year of teaching as follows:
1. A year of credit may be granted only when the teacher taught in at least a half (½) time capacity for seventy-five percent (75%) of the days school was in session.
2. Experience credit shall be granted on a year-for-year basis up to fourteen (14) years for teaching experience in grades K-12 in any public school, college, university or WASC-accredited private school. Experience credit for credentialed teaching in schools administered by the criminal justice systems shall be granted on a one (1) year credit for every one (1) years of teaching experience basis for placement.

Experienced Teachers. Conditions and Responsibilities
23.11.1 Professional Development opportunities shall be provided for all Burbank Unified School District teachers.
23.11.2 The PAR Committee shall establish a process for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating professional development for all teachers directed at supporting teachers in teaching to District content and performance standards, and the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.
23.11.3 The PAR Committee shall also address specific support activities such as new teacher orientation, classsize reduction, training for substitute teachers, etc.
23.11.4 The PAR Committee shall allocate available resources to support planned professional development activities.
