Extended Sick Leave with Differential Pay. Upon exhaustion of all accumulated sick leave, a unit member in the ESL, High School Diploma, and Adults with Disabilities program who would otherwise qualify for sick leave under provisions of this article shall receive, for no more than 100 days, the difference between his/her pay and the full cost of a substitute, whether or not a substitute is provided.

Extended Sick Leave with Differential Pay. ‌ When a unit member has exhausted all available sick leave, including all accumulated sick leave, and continues to be absent on account of the unit member’s illness or accident for an additional period of five (5) school months, whether or not the absence arises out of or in the course of the unit member’s employment, the amount deducted from the salary due the unit member shall not exceed the sum that is actually paid a substitute employed to fill the absent unit member’s position or, if no substitute was employed, the amount that would have been paid to the substitute if one had been employed. The sick leave described in Sections 8.2.1 and 8.2.3 and the five (5) month period described in Section 8.2.4 shall run consecutively. A unit member shall not be provided more than one five (5) month period per illness or accident. If a school year terminates before the five (5) month period is exhausted, however, the unit member may take the balance of the five (5) month period in a subsequent school year. The five (5) month period of “differential pay” days shall not count as days of service within the meaning of Section 12.4.5 of this Agreement. If a District retiree is the substitute, the additional amount paid to retirees as required by Section 18.3 shall not be deducted under this Extended Sick Leave With Differential Pay Section.

Extended Sick Leave with Differential Pay. 6.2.1 Upon exhaustion of all accumulated sick leave and/or industrial accident or illness leave, a unit member who would otherwise qualify for sick leave under the provisions of this article shall receive, for no more than 100 days, the difference between his/her pay and the full cost of a substitute, whether or not a substitute is providedshall be compensated, for no more than 100 days, at the rate of fifty percent (50%) of the unit member’s regular salary. The one hundred (100) days per fiscal year begins on the first day of illness and includes days of sick leave taken pursuant to Article 6.1 and days of industrial accident or illness leave.

  • Extended Sick Leave When sick leave extends for more than 25 consecutive working days, the appointing authority shall initiate the following procedure:

  • Shift Differential Pay A. An employee shall receive additional compensation at the rate of seventy five cents (75¢) per hour for all hours worked on a shift when the majority of hours worked on the shift are between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. and in locations where these classes are regularly assigned shift work.

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY LIMITATION 175. An employee who is absent because of disability leave and who is receiving disability indemnity payments may request that the amount of disability indemnity payment be supplemented with salary to be charged against the employee's sick leave with pay credits so as to equal the amount the employee would have earned for a regular work schedule. If the employee wishes to exercise this option, the employee must submit a signed statement to the employee's department no later than thirty (30) days following the employee's release from disability leave.

  • Bilingual Differential Pay Bilingual Differential Pay applies to those positions designated by the Department of Personnel Administration as eligible to receive bilingual pay according to the following standards:

  • Extended Unpaid Maternity Leave (a) An employee is entitled to apply for leave without pay following Maternity Leave (“extended unpaid Maternity Leave”) to extend their leave by up to two years.

  • Extended Leaves Extended leaves of absence of at least three (3) but not more than five (5) years may be granted in accordance with Minnesota Statutes § 136F.43. Notwithstanding any other section of this Agreement, retention and accrual of all rights and benefits for faculty on extended leave shall be governed by Minnesota Statutes § 136F.43. Faculty members shall be returned to the unit in accordance with Article 29, Section B, Subd. 1, and shall be returned to the salary schedule at the step at which they were placed when they left the unit, with accommodation for general increases in the indicated step. If the faculty member’s service to the university in the year the faculty member left the unit qualified for an increase in the succeeding year, then the faculty member shall be entitled to that increase upon return to the unit. Seniority shall not accrue during the years faculty members are on extended leave.

  • Extended Unpaid Leave Upon written request, a permanent employee who has completed two (2) years of service shall be granted unpaid leave to a maximum of twelve (12) months, subject to the operational requirements of the Employer's operations and the availability of qualified replacement staff. An employee shall be entitled to up to a maximum of twelve (12) months unpaid leave for each two (2) years of service with the understanding that no employee can have more than twelve (12) consecutive months of unpaid leave at any one time. While on such leave employees shall continue to accumulate service, unless they would have been otherwise laid off, for seniority purposes only. The minimum amount of unpaid leave an employee may have under this Clause is eight (8) weeks. An employee will not be granted extended unpaid leave to take another position with the same Employer whether inside or outside a bargaining unit.

  • Shift Differential Compensation Any employee in the bargaining unit whose assigned work shift commences (for unit-1) prior to 5:30 a.m. or whose work shift ends after 5:30 p.m., or (for unit-2 members) commences after 2:00 p.m. shall be paid a shift differential premium of five (5%) percent above the regular rate of pay for all hours worked.

  • Extended Leave Extended leaves of absence of at least three (3) but not more than five (5) years may be granted in accordance with Minnesota law. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, retention and accrual of all rights and benefits for ASF Members on extended leave shall be governed by Minnesota Statute Section 136F.43.

  • Parental Leave Allowance (a) An employee who qualifies for parental leave pursuant to Clause 26.02, shall be paid a parental leave allowance in accordance with the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) Plan. In order to receive this allowance, the employee must provide to the Employer proof of application and eligibility to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for parental leave allowance.
