Extended Work Days a) Teachers working beyond the contracted work day on district determined projects, which have been specified for compensation, will be paid at the following rates with prior approval from the district: i) 2021- 2022: $35hr ii) 2022 - 2023: $37hr iii) 2023 - 2024: $40hr b) Teachers who are presenting to the staff, on behalf of the district, shall be paid an enhanced curriculum rate, deemed “Presenter Rate”, at $55/hr for their time presenting.

Extended Work Days. All overtime worked by an employee will be paid at one and one half (1 ½) times the employee’s straight time rate of pay. Actual time will be reported but overtime will be paid in the following six (6) minute increments based on the following increments, (six [6] minutes, twelve [12] minutes, eighteen [18] minutes, twenty- four [24] minutes, thirty-six [36] minutes, and forty-eight [48] minutes) for the first hour. For time worked in excess of one (1) hour, overtime will be paid at one and one half (1 ½) the employee’s straight time rate of pay, in one (1) hour increments. If the extended assignment exceeds five (5) hours, pay for such work shall be at the overtime rate with a minimum of eight (8) hours. Such extended work shifts shall not be scheduled on a daily or regular basis. The Employer shall not abuse the use of overtime to avoid scheduling another crew. Year round employees, excluding Relief employees, who are called in to work on a scheduled day off and have a minimum of eighty (80) non-overtime compensated hours in the work period will be compensated at the overtime rate of pay. In addition, they will receive three (3) hours of pay at their straight time rate of pay regardless of the length of the overtime shift or the hours actually worked. Relief employees that work an additional day beyond a defined eighty (80) hour work period and have a minimum of eighty (80) non-overtime compensated hours in a work period, will be compensated at their overtime rate of pay. In addition, they will receive three (3) hours of pay at their straight time rate of pay regardless of the length of the overtime shift or the hours actually worked. On-call employees with less than 80 hours compensated time will not receive the three (3) additional hours pay (see examples below).
Extended Work Days. Teachers may be required to remain after the end of the regular work day without additional compensation to attend the following staff meetings: a. Ten (10) times within the school year for the purpose of building meetings called by the School Principal not to exceed one hour per meeting. b. Two (2) hours during the school year to be used by the Superintendent for district- wide meetings. c. Meetings will not normally be held on Fridays or on the last day of any given school week. d. Notice of meetings as described in Article XI, Section 5 will be given at least three (3) calendar days in advance whenever possible.

  • Work Days The work day shall consist of an assigned shift within twenty-four (24) consecutive hours commencing at 12:01 a.m.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • COMMENCEMENT/EXPIRATION DATE This agreement is executed as of the date of the last signature and is effective through at which time it will expire. The expiration date is the final date for completion of all work activities under this agreement.

  • Leave Days 1. Each full-time teacher employed under regular contract shall be entitled to an annual allotment of thirteen (13) leave days. Such allotment shall be credited the first day of each school year and unused days shall be accumulated as sick leave to a total of one hundred eighty-two and one half (182.5) days. The teacher’s accumulated sick days may be used following use of 13 days and a doctor’s note with approval by Superintendent. Certificated staff with an accumulation of 182.5 days of accumulated sick leave shall be compensated at the end of each school year at the rate of the current daily certified substitute pay per each unused day above the 182.5 day accumulation. Such payments shall be made in July of each year. This money shall be placed in the teacher’s 403(b). If school corporation revenue in the Education Fund exceeds expenditures in the calendar year by an amount between $6,000 and $24,000, then the amount of that excess (minus compensation pay), not to exceed $18,000, shall be made available to fund a buyback of unused accumulated sick leave days on the following terms: Teachers shall have the option of selling up to ten (10) days, per round, of unused accumulated sick leave back to the school corporation at the daily rate of pay for a certified substitute teacher. This option will be offered to teachers in accordance with their seniority (total years of continuous service at Western Xxxxx) in the school corporation, with the teacher with the most seniority having priority to exercise the option, and it shall be available only to the extent of the total amount of money available as set forth above. Payment for these days shall be deposited in the individual teacher’s 403(b) plan, and upon payment those sick leave days shall no longer be available to the selling teacher. Said days must have been earned while the teacher has been employed in the school corporation. To participate in the program a teacher must maintain at all times a minimum balance of one hundred (100) days of accumulated sick leave. This method shall continue in successive rounds until the available money remaining less than daily rate of pay for a certified substitute teacher. If more money is available to the school corporation than is needed to fund the buy-backs exercised under this program, the school corporation may retain such money in its Education Fund. After selling a cumulative amount of eighty (80) days, teachers will receive a guaranteed buyback of any leave days over one hundred (100) remaining at the end of each school year. 2. A teacher employed under regular contract for only a portion of the school year shall be entitled to a proportional number of days (beginning the day they return to full-time status), and unused days shall be accumulative as specified herein. 3. Teachers shall be permitted to take one-half (1/2) day of paid leave which shall be recorded as one-half (1/2) day of paid leave. 4. Certificated staff may, in any academic year, utilize up to five (5) accumulated sick days for emergency family illness or injury (providing a written doctor’s note). The staff member must first use all 13 leave days and submit the request to the superintendent. These five days may be used for the medical emergency of only a spouse, children, mother, father, mother-in-law or father-in-law.

  • Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.

  • Work Period The normal work period shall consist of forty (40) hours of work within a seven (7) day period or eighty (80) hours of work within a fourteen (14) day period.

  • Renewal Contract Term Upon mutual written agreement, the Parties may renew this Contract, in whole or in part, for a Renewal Term not to exceed the Initial Contract Term, pursuant to the incorporated Special Contract Conditions.

  • Construction Period During the construction period, Redeveloper agrees to keep the construction area, including completed operations insured against loss or damage by fire, and such other risks, casualties, and hazards as are customarily covered by builders’ risk or extended coverage policies in an amount not less than the replacement value but allowing for reasonable coinsurance clauses and deductibles. In the event of any insured damage or destruction, Redeveloper agrees to use its good faith efforts to commence restoration of the Private Improvements to its prior condition within nine (9) months from the date of the damage or destruction, and shall diligently pursue the same to completion.

  • Project Renewal Renewal of a PI’s access to controlled-access datasets for a previously-approved project.

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
