Extra Work – Rotation for Cafeteria Sample Clauses

Extra Work – Rotation for Cafeteria. For the purpose of selecting employees to cover absences (i.e. sick days, personal days, vacation, etc.) and/or extra events (i.e. luncheons, breakfasts, etc.), the procedure in the cafeteria will be as follows: The supervisor will print “extra work” when the work becomes available with the rotation schedule to the printer in the Food Service office and High School kitchen. He/she will designate staff members in the Elementary and High School to post extra work in each kitchen in a prominent place in both kitchens. The postings will include the date, start/end time and the building. At the beginning of the school year, the supervisor and designated employees will determine a time for the extra work to be posted. In order to be considered for the extra time, a staff member will click “accepted” via the event created on the Outlook calendar on the day the extra time is posted. The supervisor will post the results to the electronic calendar. In an emergency situation, the supervisor will initiate the rotation by contacting each staff member to offer extra time posted. Staff will be able to accept extra time during their break, before work and after work via iPad, as well as the ability to accept time posted via the cash registers. If you are unable to log into Outlook, contact the help desk at 000-000-0000 to resolve the issue. If not resolved, contact the supervisor regarding your interest to work at 000- 000-0000. When the supervisor is notified of an absence and does not have at least 12 hours notice before the start of the shift, he/she has the discretion to assign the shift as he/she deems necessary to perform the task needed for the smooth running of the kitchens within the rotation. If extra work becomes available during the summer, the supervisor will call employees based on the rotation schedule. The employee will contact the supervisor prior to the end of the school year if you are interested in extra work during the summer to be included in the rotation schedule.
