FIRE/LIFE SAFETY. 1. Inspections: Under the direction of the State Fire Marshal, housing staff will conduct an initial fire/life safety inspection of all residence halls. Students will be given at least 24 hours’ notice and must grant access, subject only to reasonable delay to ensure proper attire. A follow-up inspection will occur if the initial inspection reveals safety violations. General inspections may also occur throughout the year.
FIRE/LIFE SAFETY. Permit Set stamped with the installing contractors identifying stamp and stamped as, AS BUILT and signed by the installing craft supervisor or Project Manager with their name clearly printed adjacent to the signature. Two sets, one (1) shall be reproducible.

FIRE/LIFE SAFETY a. Residents shall take due care to prevent fires, including but not limited to, not leaving stoves and microwaves unattended when they are in use. Toxic, hazardous, or flammable non-household chemicals shall not be stored on the premises.
b. Any suspected malfunction of fire safety equipment must be reported immediately to the appropriate Resident Services Office (RSO).
c. Residents must evacuate the premises during a fire alarm.
d. Every room is equipped with a smoke detector. Some lounge kitchens may additionally be equipped with fire suppression devices. Misuse or tampering with fire safety equipment is prohibited.
e. Any Resident found to be in non-compliance with items (a), (b), (c), or (d) may be subject to fines and/or eviction, at the University’s sole discretion.

FIRE/LIFE SAFETY. 1. Landlord has installed within the leased premises a fire protection system with standard head spacing in accordance with code requirements. Modifications made to Landlord’s system due to Tenant requirements, requirements of governing agencies or for any other reason shall be at Tenant’s expense. The final system shall be engineered in accordance with the codes and standards of all governing bodies. Tenant’s contractor shall notify Landlord’s local authority 24 hours in advance to each shut down of sprinkler system. Tenant shall reimburse Landlord for the cost of each shut down sprinkler system in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Dollars (S150.00) for each occurrence.
2. Exit requirements and exit identifications within Tenant’s premises shall be furnished and installed by Tenant in accordance with requirements of the governing building code as it may be revised and amended, up to the time that construction is completed by Tenant, and approved by the local building authority. Exit lights will have auxiliary battery power provided with individual battery units for each fixture. Exit lights must be illuminated at all times, exit lights must also have auxiliary battery power.
3. Tenant shall furnish and install a minimum of one fire extinguisher throughout Its leased premises. The requirement is one extinguisher per 3000 square feet of space with a maximum separation of 75'- O' walking distance. Type of extinguisher shall be Class ABC, 10 lb. dry chemical. This requirement is necessary for insurance ratings. Locations must be approved by Landlord’s fire protection consultant.
FIRE/LIFE SAFETY. 8.1. Ceiling mounted illuminated exit signs to match bass building, installed per code.
FIRE/LIFE SAFETY. All work pertaining to the fire and life safety systems must be coordinated with Building Engineering, 000-000-0000.
FIRE/LIFE SAFETY. Assistance in the Design, Construction and operations planning of the Projects as it relates to fire prevention, fire suppression, and emergency preparedness with respect to fires or other major disasters. The assistance shall also include reviews for conformance of fire/life safety codes, standards and regulations. Fire Department representatives will be invited to participate as active members of Authority-designated committees dealing with fire/life safety issues.
FIRE/LIFE SAFETY. Contractor shall install electrical equipment and systems that are of the same manufacturer and model number as the existing equipment and systems. Proper precautions shall be taken by the Contractor to ensure that smoke detectors are not set off from dust caused by construction or other work activities. Contractor shall notify Landlord 24hrs prior to work commencing on the fire sprinklers, fire alarms, other life safety systems or any construction type projects.
