Forty (40) Hour Per Week Employees. A. The forty (40) hour work week personnel shall work Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to completion of eight (8) hours per day.

Forty (40) Hour Per Week Employees. Each employee who does not regularly perform Fire Suppression duties shall receive a shift off with pay on each of the above listed holidays, except under the following conditions:  If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the employee shall receive a shift off with pay on the Friday before such holiday; and if a holiday falls on a Sunday, the employee shall receive a shift off with pay on the following Monday.  If the holiday falls on the employee’s regular leave day off, the employee will earn one (1) shift of holiday leave. Use of any earned holiday leave shall be scheduled with the approval of the Fire Chief.  If such an employee is required to and works on a holiday or on a day which the employee is scheduled to have off duty because of a holiday, the employee shall receive the employee’s regular shift’s pay for such holiday, and, in addition, the employees shall have the option of receiving holiday pay or an equivalent amount of holiday leave, which shall be scheduled with the approval of the Fire Chief with twenty-four (24) hours notice. Such holiday pay for forty (40) hour per week employees, with the exception of the Fire Alarm Communication Technicians and Fire Equipment Mechanics, shall be computed by multiplying their regular hourly rate by the number of hours the employee actually works on the holiday or day off, or by three (3) hours, whichever is greater. Fire Alarm Communication Technicians and Fire Equipment Mechanics shall continue to receive one and one-half (1.5) times their regular hourly rate as holiday pay and shall be paid for the number of hours the employee actually works on the holiday or by three (3) hours, whichever is greater. For purposes of this Paragraph 2, one (1) shift equals ten (10) hours.

  • Ten Month Employees Employees appointed on a regular 10-month basis (those employed for the standard academic year beginning September 1 to June 30) generally receive benefits on a pro rata basis except for holiday pay which will be granted for those holidays that fall during the academic year only.

  • Hour Employees When a death occurs to a spouse or child of a full-time employee who works a seven and one-half (7.5) hour day, the employee will be granted a leave of absence and will be paid seven and one-half (7.5) hours at her/his regular rate of pay for up to five (5) consecutive scheduled working days in the six (6) calendar day period beginning with the date of death. Time paid for while on bereavement leave will count as time worked for the purpose of computing overtime. A full-time nurse who works a seven and one-half (7.5) hour day shall be granted three (3) consecutive working days off without loss of regular pay for scheduled hours, in conjunction with the day of the funeral for other members of her or his immediate family, namely, parents, brother, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, grandparent of spouse or grandchild.

  • Per Diem Employees Section 1. A per diem employee is one that works on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the provisions of this article. Per diem employees will not be guaranteed to work a specific number of hours or a specific number of shifts per time block.

  • School Year Employees All hourly employees compensated under “Hourly Schedule A” and regularly employed for the hours in that position considered full time by the Employer for the school year.

  • Newly Hired Employees All employees hired to an insurance eligible position must make their benefit elections by their initial effective date of coverage as defined in this Article, Section 5C. Insurance eligible employees will automatically be enrolled in basic life coverage. If employees eligible for a full Employer Contribution do not choose a health plan administrator and a primary care clinic by their initial effective date, and do not waive medical coverage, they will be enrolled in a Benefit Level Two clinic (or Level One, if available) that meets established access standards in the health plan with the largest number of Benefit Level One and Two clinics in the county of the employee’s residence at the beginning of the insurance year. If an employee does not choose a health plan administrator and primary care clinic by their initial effective date, but was previously covered as a dependent immediately prior to their initial effective date, they will be defaulted to the plan administrator and primary care clinic in which they were previously enrolled.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Month Employees TEN (10) MONTH EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE COMPLETED ONE (1) YEAR OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE AND WHO HAVE ACCUMULATED TWENTY (20) DAYS OF SICK LEAVE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED IN THE USLB.
