GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND RULES. 11:01 When an employee meets with a personal accident or injury while on the job, he shall be paid his full day's wages for the day of the accident.
GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND RULES. The meal break shall not commence before two (2) hours from the employee's starting time or commence later than six (6) hours from the employee's starting time. Employees not receiving a meal period between the designated times will be compensated for one-half hour at time and one-half (1%)their base rate of pay. Safety: In keeping with the Canada Labour Standards, a Safety Committee shall be established, consisting of at least one member from within the bargaining unit and one member of management. The committee shall meet every month or earlier if required to discuss and recommend on safety matters and to promote a co-operative interest in the safety of the work force. Copies of the minutes of said meetings shall be forwarded to the Union and posted on the bulletin board. In conjunction with the Safety Meetings, the Company and the Union will conduct joint industrial relations meetings on a quarterly basis to deal with operational issues not addressed by the Collective Agreement. This is not intended to preclude either party from processing on a timely basis as required and these meetings are not part of the grievance procedure. The Company shall allow a maximum of one day off with pay per year to any employee who is an active member of the joint Health and Safety Committee at to attend approved Health and Safety training sessions. Requests for time of fmust not interfere with the proper operations of the business and provided one week's written notice is given to the Company by the applicable employee specifying the date and proposed course to be taken.

GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND RULES. The meal break shall not commence before the third (3rd) hour from the employee’s starting time or commence later than the fifth (5th)hour from the employee’s starting time. Labour : The Company shall establish during the term of this Agreement a Management Committee. This Committee will be advisory in nature and will meet for one-half hour once each two (2) months, to discuss and on matters concerning operations, but will not with interpretation of this Agreement. Each party will endeavour to inform the other in advance, of the subjects they wish to discuss at these meetings. In keeping with the regulations of Labour Canada, a Safety Committee shall be established, consisting of two (2) members from within the bargaining and one (1) member of Management. The Resident Manager or their delegate, shall act as Chairman. The Committee shall meet for one-half hour once each two (2) months to discuss and recommend on safety matters and to promote a co-operative interest in the safety of the work force. Whenever the Company or the Workers’ Compensation Act regulations require equipment to be worn on the job, such equipment shall be provided by the Company at no cost to the employee. The employee shall be held responsible for such equipment and shall be charged for any damage or loss for which the employee can reasonably be held responsible.

A meal period not exceeding thirty (30) minutes without pay shall be granted as near to mid-shift as possible.
