Health Care Cost Containment Committee Sample Clauses
Health Care Cost Containment Committee. The Employer and the Union recognize the rapidly escalating health care costs, including the cost of medically unnecessary services and inappropriate treatment, have a detrimental impact on the health benefit program. The parties hereby establish a joint committee for the purpose of investigating health care cost containment issues which shall continue during the term of this Agreement. The Committee shall be subject to the following provisions:
a. The Committee shall be comprised of not less than one (1) or more than two (2) representatives from the Board of Commissioners, from the non-union/elected officials, and from the each participating Union.
b. The Union representatives shall be granted time off as is reasonably necessary to complete the foregoing.
c. The Committee shall meet as soon as projected new insurance rates are available at the mutually agreed upon times between the Employer and the Unions. Minutes of each meeting shall be taken.
d. This Committee may provide recommendations as to the Health Insurance Program options for each year of this Agreement after 2011.
Health Care Cost Containment Committee a. The Health Care Cost Containment Committee which was established as of July 1, 2004, shall continue as modified herein. Effective September 1, 2011, the Health Care Cost Containment Committee shall be composed of twelve (12) members with six (6) management representatives and six (6) union representatives four (4) of whom shall represent and be appointed by APSCUF, one (1) who shall represent and be appointed by OPEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania, Local 112, and one (1) who shall represent and be appointed by SPFPA.
b. The Health Care Cost Containment Committee shall meet periodically to discuss health care cost containment strategies. The Committee may also make recommendations for modifications to the health care plans. The Committee shall make recommendations to the State System and SPFPA for modifications of the health care plans for active employees. All recommendations must have been approved by Committee members by majority vote of both management members and majority vote of union members.
c. Health and prescription drug rate information used to determine premiums and employee contributions shall be shared with all members of the Committee.
Health Care Cost Containment Committee. The STATE and the CWA agree to continue the labor/management cost containment committee. All costs associated with implementing the committee's objectives that are mutually agreed to by union and management shall be borne by the State. The term health insurance carrier shall include all providers of health services for represented employees, including HMOs and plan administrators. The Joint Union/Management Committee with equal representation of management and the Union shall be established. The committee shall:
Health Care Cost Containment Committee. As needed, the District agrees to consult with the Union Cost Containment Committee to:
14.5.1 Examine the status, benefits, and cost of on-going health, dental and vision insurance, and pursue ways to bring down the cost of providing those insurance benefits.
14.5.2 Discuss short- and long-term cost containment possibilities.
14.5.3 Prepare appropriate recommendations to the District and Union representatives for their consideration in the appropriate collective bargaining process.
14.5.4 A copy of the health medical plans available through SISC (Self Insured Schools of California) shall be updated annually with the current information and shall be posted on the District Website.
Health Care Cost Containment Committee. The parties agree to maintain a committee which shall be charged with investigating insurances in an effort to control future costs while providing the best possible levels of coverage to employees.
Health Care Cost Containment Committee. The Municipality shall establish a health care cost containment committee for the Municipality of Anchorage Health Flex Plan. The Union shall have a representative on the Committee. The Committee shall be made up of an equal number of Union representatives and Municipal representatives. The Committee shall meet regularly, but no less frequently than quarterly. The committee shall have as its mission the design of programs and actions that will address health issues to include, but not be limited to, containment or reduction of the cost of the health care plan.

The EMPLOYER and the ASSOCIATION recognize the rapidly escalating health care costs, including the cost of medically unnecessary services and inappropriate treatment, have a detrimental impact on the health benefit program. The parties hereby establish a joint committee for the purpose of investigating health care cost containment issues which shall continue during the term of this Agreement. The Committee shall be subject to the following provisions:
A. The Committee shall be comprised of not less than two or more than four representatives each from the EMPLOYER and the ASSOCIATION.
B. The ASSOCIATION representatives shall be granted time off with pay as is reasonably necessary to complete the foregoing (including travel time).
C. The Committee shall meet at the mutually agreed upon times between the EMPLOYER and the ASSOCIATION but no less than semi-annually. Minutes of each meeting shall be taken.
D. The EMPLOYER agrees to recommend the Health Care Cost Containment Committee review the EMPLOYER's vision and dental plans in subsequent reviews of the health care plan.

Health Care Cost Containment Committee. The parties agree to form a Health Care Cost Containment Committee made up of an equal number of members from the Union and the Bedford School District unless mutually agreed otherwise which will review and agree to further cost containment programs to cover active employees during the term of the Contract. The parties are committed to investigate programs, which will reduce costs. Programs relating to health care would include, but would not be limited to alternative health care providers, additional cost containment programs, and alternative traditional plans. Any programs agreed to by the parties will be implemented during the term of this agreement unless otherwise mutually agreed upon.
