Wollaston School Acceptable Media Use Policy Statement: Wollaston School has invested significant resources to provide computers, laptops and associated network technology for students. We spend a lot of time in ensuring that our Wi-Fi and wired networks provide the best service that we can to aid student learning. The school intends to develop opportunities for students to bring their own devices to assist their learning. This will include mobile phones for use as video and audio recording and processing devices and laptops and electronic notebooks to provide access to the Internet and word processing and other electronic documentation. All students are expected to sign a contract agreeing a set of rules relating to behaviour covering the use of School IT or BYODs and to use of the Internet, privacy of work files, passwords and security. Students will be required to commit to this agreement prior to using IT or BYOD facilities. Incidents and Response. In normal circumstances, any emergency telephone numbers if provided to commuters on the Project shall be in working order at all times. In such an event project control centre shall be staffed by at least two personnel at all times. The principal function of these personnel shall be to receive information and to initiate appropriate actions to overcome reported incidents. Such actions shall include mobilization of vehicle recovery and emergency maintenance personnel, and liaising with the appropriate emergency services. The response time between receipt of information and initiation of appropriate action shall normally be no longer than fifteen (15) minutes.
