JOB SHARING ASSIGNMENTS. A job sharing unit member is one (1) of two (2) unit members who share one (1) assignment. Job share assignments should be limited in number to a maximum of one (1) percent of the full-time positions in the bargaining unit.

JOB SHARING ASSIGNMENTS. Two Teachers employed by the District may jointly request a specified job-sharing assignment in respect of a single full-time position. The request shall not be unreasonably refused. Where the request is granted:
JOB SHARING ASSIGNMENTS. Job-sharing is defined as voluntary part-time service in which teachers share a position on a regular basis. Teachers who are approved for a job-sharing as- signment will retain their tenured status if applicable. Requests must be submit- xxx in writing to the Superintendent prior to February 1 for the following school year. Notice of approval or denial will be provided by the Superintendent in writ- ing by March 1. Any denial of a job-sharing request will identify the factors con- sidered in determining such denial. Teachers should refer to job-sharing guide- lines which are available for reference in District Resources. Approved job- sharing assignments will extend for a maximum of one (1) school year in dura- tion. For subsequent school year(s), teachers must reapply for the job-sharing assignment by February 1. The approval or denial of any teacher’s job-sharing request is subject to the Ad- ministration and Board’s exclusive discretion and the merits of each request shall be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The Administration and Board’s approval of any job-sharing request shall be non-precedential and non-binding with regard to any other job-sharing requests. This contract Section 10.11 is not subject to the grievance procedure in Article XIV of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
JOB SHARING ASSIGNMENTS. 25.1.1 A job-sharing unit member is one (1) of two (2) classroom teachers who share one (1) assignment which the employee actually works. The health and welfare benefits available to each employee are determined by the actual time worked, but shall not jointly exceed the cost of the equivalent of one (1) position's entitlement to health and welfare benefits.

  • Teaching Assignments No employee shall be assigned to teach in a grade level and/or subject area not within the scope of his/her teaching certificate, except where a position within his/her certification is unavailable or when mutually agreed to by the affected employee and principal, or when determined necessary by the principal. Employees assigned to positions outside the scope of their certificates shall be assigned as soon as possible to positions for which they hold certification.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Teaching Assignment For teaching faculty, the teaching assignment will be one or a combination of programs, courses, or student originated studies offerings (all of which are collectively referred to as “academic offerings” below). For full-time faculty the normal teaching assignment will be a program. For part-time faculty the normal assignment is either a program and/or course(s), depending on the terms of their contract. In addition, faculty may support individual learning contracts.

  • SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS A. Assignments for the Adult Education, Driver Education and Summer School Program will be made by the Board on the basis of preference to teachers possessing permanent teaching certificates regularly employed in the district during the normal school year.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Overtime Assignments When needed, overtime work for full-time employees shall be scheduled among qualified employees doing similar work in the work location where the employees regularly work in accordance with the following:

  • Acting Assignment (a) For the purpose of this Agreement, acting assignment means the assignment of an employee on an acting basis to a Postmaster or Senior Assistant position which is at a higher classification level than the position to which he is appointed. An employee will perform the duties of the higher classification level that may be required during the acting assignment in order to be entitled to receive the acting pay.

  • Employee Assignments A. All teachers will be given written notice of their salary schedule and building assignment for the forthcoming year as soon as possible after budget enactment. All teachers will be given notice of their class and/or subject assignments, responsibility assignments and room assignments for the forthcoming year and not later than July 31. In the event that changes in such schedules, class and/or subject assignments, responsibility assignments or room assignments are proposed after the above dates, all affected teachers will be notified promptly in writing and, upon request of the employee, the changes will be promptly reviewed between the Superintendent or the Superintendent's representative and the teacher.

  • Housing Assignments The University assigns Licensee to a bed space and does not guarantee specific room types, buildings, communities, or roommates. The University shall have the right to reassign the Licensee to a different bed space without the Licensee’s consent prior to or during the term of the Agreement.
