Leave, President, Ontario Nurses’ Association. Upon application in writing by the Union on behalf of the employee to the Hospital, a leave of absence shall be granted to such employee elected to the Office of the President of the Ontario Nurses’ Association for a period of up to three (3) consecutive two (2) year terms. Notwithstanding Article 12.04, there shall be no loss of service or seniority during such leave of absence. During such leave of absence, the employee’s salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the Union agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the employee shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses’ Association. The employee agrees to notify the Hospital of their return to work at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of such return.
Leave, President, Ontario Nurses’ Association. A nurse who is elected to the office of the President of the Ontario Nurses’ Association shall be granted upon request leave(s) of absence without loss of seniority and benefits up to six (6) years. During such leave(s) of absence salary and benefits will be kept whole by the Manor and the Association agrees to reimburse the Manor for such salary and Manor contributions to benefits and percentage in lieu in the case of part-time employees. The nurse agrees to notify the Manor of her intention to return to work within two (2) weeks following the termination of office.

There shall be no loss of service or seniority during such leave of absence. During such leave of absence, the nurse's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Employer and the Association agrees to reimburse the Employer in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the nurse shall be deemed to be a nurse of the Ontario Nurses' Association. The nurse agrees to notify the Employer of her intention to return to work at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of such return.
