Legislative Service Leave. Employees may use vacation leave in order to perform any official duty as a member of the Washington state legislature during regular and special legislative sessions in accordance with RCW 49.100.020.

Legislative Service Leave. In accordance with RCW 49.100.200, a temporary leave of absence, without loss of job status or seniority, must be granted to an employee who is a member of the Washington state legislature in order for the employee to perform any official duty as a member of the legislature during regular and special sessions. The leave of absence may be unpaid leave. However, an employee may request to use accrued paid leave all or part of the legislative service leave.
Legislative Service Leave. Employees elected or appointed to the State Legislature shall be granted leave of absence, commensurate with the Legislative session, including any extensions or special sessions that may be imposed, without pay or benefits during the period of time they are performing public service as a member of the legislature. During Legislative leave, an employee has the option of retaining for him/herself any insurance benefit program specified in this Agreement by assuming the monthly payments of the entire premium cost.

  • Public Service Leave ‌‌ An employee who is elected or appointed to public office shall be entitled to a leave of absence without pay not to exceed 180 days per year in accordance with state law, a copy of which is attached in Addendum b.

  • Citizen Volunteer or Community Service Leave Leave without pay may be granted for community volunteerism or service.

  • Community Service Leave Community service leave is provided for in the NES.

  • Child Care Leave (a) An employee who is a natural or adoptive parent shall be granted upon request in writing child care leave without pay for a period of up to thirty-five (35) weeks. The leave may be shared by the parents or taken wholly by one (1) parent.

  • Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.

  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA a. Pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA, as amended, an employee with more than one (1) year of experience, and who works at least 1250 hours per year, shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence, of up to twelve (12) weeks, during a twelve (12) month period, for one or more of the following:

  • COMPLIANCE BY CONTRACTOR WITH LAWS AND REGULATIONS/ EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 6.1 In connection with the performance of the Services, the Contractor shall comply with all applicable statutes, laws, regulations, and orders of federal, state, county or municipal authorities which impose any obligation or duty upon the Contractor, including, but not limited to, civil rights and equal employment opportunity laws. In addition, if this Agreement is funded in any part by monies of the United States, the Contractor shall comply with all federal executive orders, rules, regulations and statutes, and with any rules, regulations and guidelines as the State or the United States issue to implement these regulations. The Contractor shall also comply with all applicable intellectual property laws.
