Long Service Allowance. All regular employees shall receive an additional $2.50 per pay period following completion of five (5) years of service and five dollars ($5.00) per pay period following completion of ten (10) years of service (not to be compounded).
Long Service Allowance. 47.01 An employee shall be eligible for an annual Long Service Allowance (LSA) of $3,000 per year provided the employee has:
(a) completed seven (7) years of current, continuous service; and
(b) been paid at the maximum salary during the immediately preceding period of two (2) years; and
(c) received in the two (2) prior years and continues to receive a satisfactory performance review. The allowance shall be paid on the end of month pay in July.
47.02 Pursuant to 47.01, should an employee leave the Employer’s employment, a pro- rated amount will be deducted from the final pay. This deduction will equal $250 for each remaining month of the LSA year.
Long Service Allowance. 42.01 An academic staff member, educational counsellor and librarian shall be eligible for an annual Long Service Allowance (LSA) of $3,000.00 per year provided the academic staff member has:
a. Completed ten (10) years of current, continuous service, and
b. Has received in the two prior years and continues to receive a satisfactory performance review. The allowance shall be paid monthly.
Long Service Allowance. 32:01 An employee who completes eight (8) years of service in the bargaining unit shall receive a long service allowance per month. Such allowance will be prorated for part-time employees. The allowance will be sixty-four cents ($0.64)/hour.
Long Service Allowance. Upon voluntary separation of employment, if an Employee has twenty (20) or more years of service, the Employee shall receive a one-time payment of five hundred dollars ($500.00) in recognition of service to Red Deer Polytechnic. Long Service Allowance. Employees who have completed eight (8) continuous full time years or more of satisfactory service and have given working days notice of their intention to leave the Board’s employment will be entitled to additional monies payable upon leaving, of (30) calendar days at the employee’s rate of pay. Employees who do not work full time (as defined in Clause and of this agreement) and who have completed the full time equivalent of eight (8)continuous years or more of satisfactory service and have given working days notice of the intention to leave the Board’s employment, will be entitled to additional monies payable upon leaving, of (30) calendar days at the employee’s rate of pay.

34:01 Formal performance appraisals shall be conducted on employees on a bi- annual basis or as required by the Employer.
34:02 An employee shall have the right to add his/her comments to the performance appraisal. An employee may grieve for the removal of any performance appraisal which is disputed by the employee, commencing at Step 2 of the grievance procedure.

(d) Effective July 1, 2012 educational counsellors and librarians will be eligible for an annual long service allowance of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) per year in accordance with 46.02(a) and 46.02(b) and 46.02(c) above. The allowance shall be paid monthly. ($3,000.00 divided by 12 = $250.00 per month) Long service allowances are not part of “annual salary” as defined by section 1.01(d).
