WORK BOOT ALLOWANCE. Full time employees who are required and approved by management to wear a specific safety- type work shoe/boot or a uniform shoe/boot and whose employing department does not already provide said shoes or boots, or a purchase voucher, shall receive a biweekly non-pensionable amount of $8.00 per pay period and intermittent and half-time employees shall receive a biweekly non-pensionable amount of $4.00 per pay period for the purchase, repair and maintenance of said shoes or boots. Each department shall develop safety shoe standards to include safety requirements, style and color consistent with operating needs and reasonable uniformity. All employees, including new hires and transfers, shall be responsible for compliance with these standards. Failure to wear approved and serviceable safety shoes while on duty may subject the employee to appropriate discipline. Full time employees in the class of Senior and Chief Environmental Compliance Inspector, Code 4293 and 4289 in the Watershed Protection Division shall be required to wear their boots in compliance with all local and State laws while performing their duties and assignments. Management will provide the boots for this class when employed in the Watershed Protection Division.

In no event shall an employee receive more than three hundred dollars ($300.00) under the provisions of this Article. This payment shall be made by separate check distributed in February for the term of the MOU. C. Each department shall develop safety shoe standards to include safety requirements, style and color consistent with operating needs and reasonable uniformity. All employees, including new hires and transfers, shall be responsible for compliance with these standards. Failure to wear approved and serviceable safety shoes while on duty may subject the employee to appropriate discipline. All employees required and approved by management to wear specific safety-type work shoes/boots shall be required to wear their boots in compliance with all local and State laws while performing their duties and assignments.
WORK BOOT ALLOWANCE. Where a regular employee is required, as a condition of employment, to provide and wear approved safety footwear during the course of the employee’s regular duties, the employee will be eligible for an allowance up to one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) once per fiscal year, to help offset the cost to the employee of purchasing approved safety footwear. Casual employees will be reimbursed for footwear after the completion of eighty (80) hours. The allowance will be paid under the following conditions: (a) the safety footwear purchased must be approved by the Canadian Standards Association; and (b) satisfactory proof of purchase must be provided by the employee; Where an employee who has worked for a fiscal year and has not claimed the allowance in that fiscal year, purchases safety footwear in the next fiscal year, the employee is eligible to claim up to twice the maximum allowance in that next fiscal year. This provision is retroactive to July 1, 2014.
WORK BOOT ALLOWANCE. 16.3.1 The work boot allowance is $100 per annum payable towards the purchase of work boots. 16.3.2 Upon receipt, the Company will reimburse an employee up the value of $100 per annum. Should the work boots purchased be of a lesser value than the allowance, only the amount purchased for the work boots will be reimbursed. Any remaining balance can be utilised in the same year towards the purchase of additional work boots. 16.3.3 Work boots must be steel capped and suitable for use on a construction site. 16.3.4 Employees will be entitled to the work boot allowance after 6 months of employment and then solely at the discretion of the Company.
WORK BOOT ALLOWANCE. A work boot allowance of up to $250 will be paid every eighteen (18) months upon production of receipt, or sooner as required subject to management approval.

WORK BOOT ALLOWANCEAll regular full-time, seasonal, and part-time employees who are actively at work and required to wear approved footwear shall be entitled to reimbursement of up to one hundred sixty ($160.00) dollars each calendar year upon presentation of a receipt for purchase. Employees may choose to defer the one hundred sixty ($160.00) to the following year in order to purchase safety boots not to exceed three hundred twenty ($320.00) over the 24-month period of time.
WORK BOOT ALLOWANCEEffective January 1, 2007, an employee may have access to work-boots from the manager. If approved, the employee will be reimbursed up to one hundred and forty-five dollars ($145.00) each fiscal year upon proof of purchase of ANSI approved work-boots from vendors identified by the District. Maintenance shall be the responsibility of the employee. A portion of the reimbursement allowance may also be used for work boot/footwear repair. Employees who are reimbursed for work-boots shall be expected to wear them while performing services for the District.
