Monthly Salary Schedule. 1. The basic ranks and classifications within the City of Corpus Christi Police Department shall be established by the City by ordinance pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 143.021 and its management rights.
Monthly Salary Schedule. Bargaining unit employees who are employed by the Employer on the effective date of this Agreement shall be placed on the salary schedule according to their anniversary date. The practice of placing newly hired employees at the probation step of this salary schedule shall not prohibit the Employer from placing a newly hired employee at a more advanced step. Newly hired employees shall normally be placed at the probation step of this salary schedule. On the employee’s anniversary date, one (1) year from the employee’s date of employment with the Employer, the employee may be moved to the next higher step of the salary schedule, provided his or her performance merits an increase, and shall advance on merit up the scale as provided below.
