Non-Work Time. Shift premiums shall be payable only for hours actually worked and shall not be payable for non-work time such as holidays, sick leave and vacation.
Non-Work Time. It is understood that such time on standby assignment is non-work time for the purposes of determining overtime compensation.

Non-Work Time. The investigation and writing of grievances shall be on non-duty 42 time. If grievance hearings are scheduled during an employee’s regular duty hours, the employee 43 (grievant and/or the associate) shall not suffer any loss of pay while attending the hearing. An 44 employee who is required to attend a grievance hearing as a witness for the Sheriff may be 45 compensated in accordance with Article 23, Call-In Pay, when applicable.
Non-Work Time. If an employee is called for jury duty or subpoenaed to testify in a court of law, outside of the employee’s regularly scheduled working hours, all compensation for such court service shall be retained by the employee.

Non-Work Time. The following activities shall not be considered time worked toward the 27- day work period for determining time worked in excess of 204 hours as set forth in this Agreement:
1. All travel to work and returning home
2. All time at off-duty training assignments and related travel where attendance is voluntary, where the training is not directly related to the job, and where productive work is not performed.
3. Off-duty time spent on court stand-by time.
4. Any time spent by employees in accomplishing voluntary or mandatory Employee Assistance Rehabilitation Program (EAP).
5. Any time not authorized as work time.

3. Off-duty time spent on court stand-by time except as set forth in Article III, Section VI. D.2.
4. Any time spent by unit employees participating in an Employee Assistance Rehabilitation Program (EAP) on a voluntary basis.
